Technical issues and no support

We had a technical issue as soon as we set it uo and it turns out roku doesn't not offer support for this exact product... what a waste of money

Died Within Months

Lasted eight months. Our first Roku last years! This one never worked as well as the original. Very disappointed; TV won't turn on at all.

Error

Frequently shows error messages and to get rid of them for a while you have to unplug power cord and the HDMI cable. This is apparently an ongoing problem that is noted by users online. It would be nice if roku fixed the problem to save customers the headache of having to deal with the problem.

Hi there, we're sorry to hear about your experience and we're here to help! If you're seeing an HDCP error message on screen, we have a few tips. On our Support site, we have a helpful article and video that will walk you through some more detailed troubleshooting options at go.roku.com/hdcp.
In the meantime, you can try to use a different HDMI port on your TV or a different TV in an attempt to isolate the issue. As a reminder, always use the cables and adapters provided with your player when possible, as not all cables are created equally. You may also want to try using a different power source. For example, if you're currently using the TV as your power source, try plugging the device into a wall outlet instead.

Loses wi fi connection.

So i wanted to upgrade to this version-i have the basic one now.Hooked it up watching tv and loses wi fi connnection every hour a couple times.The basic one does not do this..I have hi speed wi fi and it only 1 room away so to do this is garbage.I would like to try another if it will for sure wont lose wifi.

Better than Apple TV

The Roku device certainly seems to be a better quality device than the Apple TV device. We often had problems with the Apple TV unit. It would just stop working, we would have to reboot, etc. Also, the Roku remote is easier to use than the Apple TV remote. Roku is a good value for the price.

I bought the Roku Express 4K about a month ago to upgrade and I am glad I did! I love the microphone option and the picture is crystal clear! I would recommend!!
