Excellent replacement

Bought this unit to replace an older Roku streaming stick that I had for years. I had replaced the tv it was connected to with a new 4K model, so I wanted a 4K capable Roku to get the best picture possible. The Roku express is better in almost every other way besides picture quality. The new backlit remote is especially nice in a dimly lit room. Moving through the aps is smoother and quicker, and searching produces results in about half of the time as the stick. If you are using a stick now, I would highly recommend replacing it with an express. If you are considering adding a streaming device to your tv, you can’t do better than the Roku Express for the money. Expect to be extremely satisfied.

I had an issue with my old Roku and Roku was nice enough to replace it with a 4k model. It’s amazing how it looks . Thank you Roku! You never disappointed me.

We needed to set up an old, non-smart TV (1080p) in a spare bedroom. I had a Roku I bought - 2 years ago - and never used at another house. I plugged it in, and it updated for a while. Worked perfectly! Going through 2 walls and across 20 feet of air. It took a while to explore all the choices, and download apps for the streaming services we use. It is MUCH easier to choose the apps on a separate computer; than to use the remote. The great surprise was the TV channels. We don't have a Cable TV connection in that room.

new Roku Express 4K+

Both of my daughters have been using Roku for about a year and love it. They talked me into switching to Roku from Comcast. Comcast was killing me with their high TV costs, so I decided to try Roku. Well, I did switch over to Roku and love it! The streaming is fast and clear, with no glitches - so far. Roku has given me all of the channels I want, and the recording of some events is remarkable. The only complaint I have is, the little tiny remote with the little tiny buttons that I can't see in dim lighting. I have a tendency to drop it often, and sometimes while holding it, I will inadvertantly be pressing the "mute" button and the picture goes wonky and I lose the channel I'm watching. I've tried ordering other bigger remotes, but they don't seem to work with Roku. Got any suggestions on a more friendly remote? Fix the remote issue, and I'm 100% satisfied.
