Just barely does the job

Lacks ability to expand on descriptions of movies and shows. The remote is cute, but I have to look up the show on the internet to get the full description. When the movie ends, it previews to the next movie - can't see actors and characters. Also, I need more time while looking at a movie as we discuss it. - instead, they launch the preview.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A good product but it has some serious issues

I like the versatility of it, and the simplicity of the menus but there are some serious issues with the software. The device will at times stop syncing the audio properly, sometimes captions just stop working on certain apps, it frequently will still working at all and has to be reset, and it doesn't seem to always want to work with the app on my phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy enough for a grandma (with a little help)

Bought about a month ago when we cut the "cable cord". Made the transition easy. I THINK I could have figured it out by myself but it didn't hurt to have a little "teenage electronics" expertise. In general easy to use.

I purchased a Roku to see how it worked. Roku worked so well I got rid of cable. Selections were great and used antennae to get local channels for news. Movies, tv shows, and sports are available without the extra charges and taxes charged by cable company.
