Nice Device, Shoddy Remote

I got this on a Black Friday special, so the price was great. It was easy to hook up and get connected. I already have a Roku Ultra so it was just a matter of signing into my account and I was good to go. The device works well and has great wifi reception. The remote, however, is a big flop. After my wife and I used it for about 3 weeks, it developed an odd quirk. After the device has been in use for a couple of hours, the remote acts up. When you press either the volume up or volume down key, the volume goes up. The only way to remedy this is to use the TV remote. This kind of defeats the purpose of having an "all-in-one" remote. While I would recommend the device wholeheartedly, I can't recommend the remote until the volume issue is fixed. Since they come as a pair, you'll have to weigh the pros and cons when making a buying decision.

have had these products for a number of years in different areas of my home. Finally dropped expensive cable and rely fully on Roku, and glad i have made the full change.

Quick and Responsive!

So far so good. I think I purchased it in Nov/Dec 2023 because the Firestick was getting clunky, unresponsive and going bananas. Since my sister has a Roku and I've played with it, I decided to give it a try because I like how responsive it was. Easy set up and navigation is intuitive, I decided I really like it. The only criticism I have of it is the side mute button. The side buttons tend to get in the way as the remote control is already compact. I have normal sized hands and I still would accidentally press the side buttons. That's it but functionally, I like it.

I love the Roku, great features to access all my streaming services, easy to use, good picture and sound quality. Loved it so much u bought a second unit for a tv in my office.

bought mine about one month ago and am not happy with it. Great no commercials, but in their place, you play the same advertisement for the same show over and over again. Can't get Local News channel even when on news networks.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
