Better performance than Roku 4K Streaming Stick

A year and half ago I began streaming with a Roku 4K Streaming Stick. Operating results were frustrating as I was frequently asked to verify my account with YouTube TV, multiple times a month and as frequently as daily. The second annoyance with the 4K Streaming Stick is short remote control battery life. The remote uses AAA batteries with an average life of two months. Too bad the remote control doesn't use AA batteries which would last significantly longer.
Out of frustration I purchased a Roku Express 4K+ receiver to replace the 4K Streaming Stick. Have been using the Roku 4K+ receiver for a month and it's stable and dependable. Just three requests in a month's time to verify my YouTube TV account. Batteries for the Roku Express 4K+ remote control are AAA size, so I expect their service life will be two months also.

I bought this a few moths ago and I am already having issues with the remote. I had to press the button really hard so it works and when I turn it off, my sound bar stays one for the night. The same happens with the tv sometime as well. I have changed the batteries and reset it but nothing seem to work, it is actually getting worse. I am glad I receive this email because I was going to call to see if the is any warranty for this product.

We’re on our second Roku the first one the remote received a static shock and was all messed up like the volume would turn the TV off, the OK button would try to select everything at the same time, etc. it was all messed up. I didn’t know a remote would be fried with a static shock.

My third Roku device. Now all tvs operate the same with just one remote. One minor complaint is volume control on side of remote. So much better than my Apple tv(which I happily trashed)!
