WiFi 6E is useless, you have to be close to the router to get a connection and it's very slow to connect. My Asus GT-AC 5300 works much better. WiFi 6 is a waste!

What an upgrade!

I upgraded to the Rapture from a Linksys 1200 series router that was probably close to a decade old. Needless to say the two routers are from totally different planets, I knocked off 1 star for the set up of the AiMesh system being super confusing and generally not working well when you try to run the mesh nodes wireless. I had near constant dropped connection between the main router and my mesh nodes until I back hauled them with a wired connection, for what you will pay to (spoiler alert, it's expensive) acquire this set up I honestly expected more from a full wireless set up. After I figured out that back hauling on wire was going to be necessary and I got everything set up the wifi signal is strong throughout my house, it has extended the range out to my garage quite easily where previously my connection was so bad I could only partially load YouTube videos. All three of my kids are able to play their online games and stream their Netflix in their rooms with ZERO lag from the Wi-Fi so the system is functioning as intended and I especially like that I was able to prioritize bandwidth to the game consoles and computers first. The Asus router app is especially helpful in being able to monitor and check the system without having to go turn on the mother PC and load into the web GUI, overall the Rapture was worth the investment and the time learning how to set it all up.

This router is a BEAST. But, how do you really know what it is capable of? There appears to be absolutely no documentation manual, users guide, or technical manual. The only “manual” you get with it or can find online is a 1 page connection “quick start” guide which may only be helpful to 70 year old Aunt Jenny that is seeing a router for the first time. As a user that is pretty savy at IT, there are aspects and features of this router that are completely new and unfamiliar. A complete settings by settings manual would be nice. And also, I dare you to ask tech support….how many hoops do you have to jump thru to get to the answer “No, there is not”. Well, I’m not sure either because I have no answer yet. But, my unit is basically set up and performing well. The rest of the obscure settings I’ll just wait for a snow day and use my blind man’s cane to tap tap tap thru….

This router is powerful, but still hasn't been perfected via firmware updates. I hope that it is more worry free soon, as it has basic issues that make it a requirement to babysit the router.

Huge upgrade over my previous router which was a Netgear XR1000. The two 5G bands are a game changer. There are also no longer any dead zones in my house. Just fyi, this is a beast of a router in size as well. So make sure you have adequate space wherever you intend on placing it.

I recently upgraded my internet connection to a fiber optic 2gb symmetrical connection and needed a router that could handle and distribute this speed throughout my network. I have an average of 70 devices connected at any given time from iot devices up to an iPhone 15 ProMax running WiFi 6e and this router handles it all without a hiccup. I also love the control you get from the web interface as well as the ease and convenience of the excellent App.
