Not much better than my Samsung Galaxy Note 20

I both this tonreplace Note 20. The battery life was starting to decline after 4 years so I treated myself to a newer model. I can't go a whole day with out having to put it on charge. I would hate to see how it performs if I was streaming videos or games all day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Adaptive batteries work by learning your usage patterns for various apps and allows the apps you use regularly to stay in memory after you exit them. Also, apps you use rarely are killed as soon as you exit them so that they don’t run in the background and waste battery life or use Wi-Fi or mobile data. Pretty cool, right? For the first time after more than 10 years with Samsung I'm not happy with this time of upgrade from my s20+ Every other time of upgrade I always happy and enjoyed the new Samsung phone. This is not, the new s23+ makes me missed my old one, the design, the software, the camera they're about the same or worse than the s20+ now I'm waiting for the next year or maybe the othe Android phone from Google, OnePlus etc

Amazing phone!

Went from an A11 to the S23+ and couldn't be happier. Fast, super crisp screen. Nearly no lag opening apps. Plenty of storage. Surprisingly sharp sound with fair amount of bass out of such a small speaker. Great investment running AT&T's reliable 5G service. I live outside of any big towns and always get a great signal. Couldn't be happier with my S23+.
