Starts out great but losses joy

Love the phone, camera is okay (I use a digital camera if I want a great photo), I mourn the loss of my headphone jack (nothing like trying to listen to a audio book on a crowded plane without it!), and really am confused by no SD slot. I mean you give us a great camera but no SD slot to do quick transfer!

Horrible pictures in different lighting conditions

It is sad to see this phone taking such horrible pictures in little difficult lighting conditions. See the samples I've attached. The nice pictures are taken with my wifes iphone 13 pro, the bad ones are taken with my samsung s23 ultra.

Unexpected Disappointment

I really wanted to like this phone. There is just so much that this phone could have been and they missed it. Let's start off with the reason I bought this phone. I got it mainly to run emulators on. As good as the snapdragon gen 2 processor is. The 8gb of ram in the 256gb model. Is holding this phone back. It's 2023 and we are still limited to 8gb of ram in a flagship phone. The screen is pretty good. It's responsive and smooth. The finger print reader is good. The brightness and details are good. However the curved screen is not a good idea. It's very difficult to make a good screen protector to protect the screen. I don't care how durable the screen is. You don't want to take any chances with this kind of investment. Screen replacements are near impossible and not worth it. The camera is another story. 200MP main camera and the photos come out that bad? Blurry,pixelated, grainy. Sene optimization is the worst. You can't even take a real picture of what you are trying to take a picture of. Like its replacing your picture with a fake picture. Kinda hard to describe. I enjoy the s pen. It is pretty close to feeling like you are writing for real. I usually run the brightness pretty low when I'm inside. Even so, I struggle to get 24h out of a full charge. Of course I'm multi tasking quite a bit throughout the day on it. It's pretty comfortable in the hand. Goes in and out of your pocket easily. It's got some heft to it. Kinda like a small sleek brick. Almost feels like you are holding a hand warmer at times. Got to question the life and safety of the battery. With all of this said. The biggest thing is trying to justify the value. The fact you are spending all that money on a flagship phone that is not very durable and difficult to fully protect for years to come.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is equipped with 5 cameras: a 12MP Selfie Camera, a 12MP Ultra-Wide Camera, a 200MP Wide-angle Camera, a 10MP Telephoto Camera with 10x Optical Zoom and a second 10MP telephoto camera for 3x optical zoom. This phone has brought me only grief. I really think it is in the process of shutting down altogether. I am unable to send or receive text messages or emails. The only part still working is the phone itself. I am unable to download apps which my bank is requiring me to do. Google play store won't permit me to update any of my apps. The bank app is critical. The games a person can get along without. I need the bank app.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Don't Purchase Any <censored> Products Again!

The screen on this phone has gone bad twice now. It develops major flickering issues. The first repair was covered under the warranty. The screen developed the same exact problem a second time and now they want to charge me <censored> for repairs. This is the last <censored> product I will ever purchase!

I bought this with the hope that it could replace my bulky camera gear and for the most part it does! So great not having to lug a whole backpack's worth of gear around. The only area that needs improvement is bokeh - you just can't get a natural looking bokeh with phones yet and so I cannot give up my mirrorless system yet.
