Love love love

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this for everything. From recording wheel spins for game groups, to accessing ally school stuff on Canvas, to photographing and recording my children to running multiple tabs and opening YouTube all at the same time! It doesn't slow down or lag or throw errors.
The camera and photo features are great for editing. I know there have been stylus issues but I love mine, especially for taking pictures.
I still miss assigning text tones to people, but otherwise I love this phone and it's capabilities.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was an iPhone user for years until I got the Samsung fold 3 5g and love that phone did everything from gaming to paying bills on it. When the S23 came out I used my upgrade to get the ultra S23 and I love this phone battery life is awesome I haven't had a chance to use all the features the phone has to offer yet and there is a lot but I do love Samsung.

Excellent phone and Ideal Flagship Phone
on March 15, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an embodiment of what a flagship phone should be. I have had this phone for one month and here are the things it excels at: - Processing speed is ridiculous -Battery life is refreshing -Screen and size make it vibrant and fun to watch things on -The camera is very fun and easy to use
The only major problem is that the phone feels like it was designed to match apple and one key thing I love about Samsung was their innovation to introduce awesome ideas to phones. The only big upgrade I got from switching from my 21 Ultra to this was battery life, a better camera, and a better screen. If my 21 ultra was not terrible with battery life, I probably would not have gotten this phone because the two were similar.
Overall, I am happy with the phone but I think where Samsung could have made this a perfect phone was introduce some of their more daring innovation to it rather than just making a phone that "you can film a movie on". Let's be real, the normal consumer is not filming a movie on a daily basis.

Major upgrade
on March 15, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone that has never been fortunate to try any of the "Ultra" models since initiation a few years ago let me tell you this is a HUGE upgrade from my last 2 phones (A71 & S20FE). The screen is my biggest yet but not a huge difference over the A71, not sure I'll ever be able to go back to anything significantly smaller like the regular S23. Love, love, LOVE the camera on here (200mp?!), phones is super fast and storage is generous since I got the double storage during pre-order. I still wish the external SD slot was still included but time will tell whether I truly needed it. Haven't owned any Notes before either so having a stylus is new, only used it once but mainly because I forget it's there.

100% Worth The Upgrade
on March 15, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was holding out with my Samsung S9+ phone for the past five years and finally decided to spend the money and upgrade to the Samsung S23 Ultra. I'm so happy I did! The camera is phenomenally clear. It is so much easier for me to get work done on my phone with the bigger screen and S pen. Plus, the browser is faster and everything is effortless. It was so easy to transfer data from my old phone to the new galaxy. My friends and family say they can hear me much better on calls too and the speaker on my end is fantastic. If you're debating if getting a new phone is worth it, I'm here to back you up and say it is.

Similar to my Note 8 but to me, not as good
on March 15, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone itself reminds me of my Note 8 but everything like volume buttons and the stylus are on opposite sides, plus the power on button is below the volume keys, which is annoying to get used to after all these years. The other thing I do not like that this phone does not have [and apparently most no longer have] is an auxiliary port for headphones or to connect to other devices without using Bluetooth(R). When watching video using Bluetooth(R), a lot of times there is a slight delay in audio but being able to connect with the aux. cord, there is no delay. Now I have no such option, and the volume is lower. Plus I have to use a doggle to connect [said wired] headphones which does not have quite the same sound quality [sometimes there is interference]. As for streaming video, because this only 5G and that service is very limited where I live as opposed to my old phone at 4G, the streaming is more erratic and inconsistent unless on WiFi. I thought that the three games that I play would actually speed up with the new phone but in all honesty, I have found very little difference with all the memory and free space that is available on the new phone as opposed to what I had on my older one. The only reason I got the new phone is because I could no longer update the Note 8, and there was little space left on the drive. Having to pay for a phone for 3 years is not what I wanted to do, and I really do not think this phone is worth it. I would rather have my Note 8 updated.
Response from Samsung USBy Bethany, Social Commerce, March 29, 2023
Hi Emtemd66...Thank you for your review of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. We value your feedback as we continue to lead the charge on innovation. The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has some improvements since the Samsung Galaxy Note8. The battery on the 23 Ultra is 5,000 mAh, while the Note8 is 3,300 mAh. The rear cameras on the Galaxy S23 Ultra are 200MP Wide, 12MP Ultra-Wide, 10MP Tele 3x Optical Zoom, 10MP Tele 10x Optical Zoom and the front 12MP. Whereas the Note 8 has a 12MP rear camera and 8MP front camera. The S23 Ultra has a screen optimizer, and flaw detection which intelligently recognizes scenes and optimizes colors for brilliant shots, and detects flaws, so it's nearly impossible to take a bad shot! I've attached Samsung Support below. Feel free to reach out if we can be of any assistance. Thank you for being a long-time customer. -Bethany smsng.us/Samsung-Support
