Refined S22 Ultra comparable to Note20 Ultra

How i wish Samsung would release phone every 2 - 3 years so that they can come up with new innovative ideas and please listen to your consumers.
Especially please add back Microsd feature and move fingerprint to the power button and we are all good.

Great upgrade!

Excellent phone missing a two key features.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from an S10e to the S23 Ultra. I mostly use my phone for taking photos, web browsing, and social media activities on Discord, Telegram, whatsapp, and work to view technical datasheets, CAD drawings, and spreadsheets. The S23U has excelled in most of these areas beyond what my S10e was able to with a few glaring feature omissions
The camera app is noticeably improved and the photos are quite a bit better in all circumstances with the light/dark dynamic range improvement vastly superior. Color and clarity are quite noticeably better than my S10e too. The 3x/10x cameras are a very nice touch for capturing distant shots without all detail being obliterated by digital zoom
The larger screen, while not noticeably better in image clarity or color, its more accurate with my touch inputs. I don't care for the curved edges though and they accidentally pick up my fingers gripping the phone occasionally.
The additional ram, power, and battery capacity are all very helpful in providing a longer and faster web browsing, social media, and document viewing/editing experience over the S10e.
Ironically, there are two features missing that tarnish two stars off this product over the S10e; MicroSD card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. I got the 1TB S23U model and it has less storage than my S10e which had 128GB + 1TB microSD, only 1TB of storage with no card slot is ridiculous and 4 years later its unacceptable. Having to use a dongle for 3.5mm audio output is very inconvenient.

love the Samsung S23 Ultra 512 lavendar

I love the speed, picture taking. Very user friendly. Easy to link last phone. So set up is a breeze. Awesome quality.
My only tip is, as long as I have an integrated esim card, and a slot for one, add a micro SD.
It would be a bonus!

Everything I wanted

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had this for a couple months now and it's everything I expected. The 5g is really good. I now get reception in the old places where I couldn't before. Another thing is the speed of the processor. So much faster than my old phone. Probably the best feature is the phone which is amazing
The only thing is I wish it had a slot for a SD or MICRO SD card. I could store my raw pictures that way. I always transfer my pictures to my computer so I can adjust them in Photoshop. Still I'm very satisfied with what I have.

S23 Ultra - Depends on your previous phone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I watch movies/videos, listen to music, read books, games, etc. Coming from a Note 9, this is a big improvement. My battery last about a day where as my Note 9 would last about half a day. Using USB C cables, takes about 1 HR to charge at 50% battery level. Phone doesn't get as hot. S23 Ultra is a lot bigger and barely fits in my front pocket, definitely sticks out in my cargo pockets and back pocket.
The display brightness is average. In bright sunlight, still have problems seeing the screen. However, I'm used to having my screen at about 60% brightness.
The best thing about this phone is the camera. If you have a recent phone, I would hold off to see the S24. Normal pictures are great, but the colors are off. Have to use software to adjust color balance. The zoom feature is awesome. I have done 100% zoom and didn't notice much blurriness. There is a significant lag at 100% zoom to where I got motion sickness from trying to center the image.
Sound is ok. Like previous Samsung phones, volume is low even with sound limit disabled. In the gym, I have it almost at 80-90% just to hear music over gym noise with ANC BT buds. At home, some videos are hard to hear even at 100% to where I have to put the phone up to my ear.
Other than the camera, the rest of the phone features are ok. Nothing mind blowing. If my work supported Note 9, I would have held off on buying the S23 Ultra. I do miss the SD expansion card and wish they threw in the Samsung Buds when buying the phone.
