I installed the router myself, replacing another one we had that was simply getting old and had not been getting any updates. For the new router, I set up networks with new secure passwords and a new guest network as well. Everyting has been working fine and the Asus app allows me to monitor the operation of the router and change settings easily. The most burdensome part of the whole upgrade process was to update the settings on all my WiFi devices to use the new networks and passwords, and I can't blame the router for that since it's an inevitable change to establish new secure networks.
