This router was easy to install. I used several of my old routers to create a mesh network. It's working flawlessly so far. Asus makes the best router in my opinion.

Decent router for the price but requires periodic

This router is easy to set up and has good range. The problem I'm having is that every 3-4 days data stops and forces me to do a reboot before data is restored. I haven't pinpointed if the problem lies with this router or my tmobile home internet gateway. But this wasn't happening with my old router. All firmware is updated for both the router and my gateway.

To resolve the problem, please verify if the router's security credentials matches with your ISP's modem settings. Check if the PC or device connecting to the router is working properly, and the router is within 30 feet to your ISP's modem, if not wired by a network cable, and your ISP's internet service or connection is working properly or stable. If you want to ADD a node to an ASUS network this is a clear winner for the money. An Ethernet backhaul is the only performance based solution with it having 2x2 radio. This has no smart connect feature so load balancing has do be done elsewhere. The CPU and RAM are about the same as a 5 year AX86U that outperforms this all day long. However if you’re looking to hardwire a node to your existing managed network and you find this at a good price point, I recommend it.

I purchased this router to extend the reach in my house in a aimesh set up. My main router is a be92u. The set up was easy. I had a couple of issues but my fault. The installation has been running flawlessly for 24 hours. Satisfied!
