Kinda slow for a flagship device

Just bought it like weeks ago. Ive had s21 before this and iphones. The phone is fast one the first few minutes. I play games and after 5 minutes it starts to heat up even without the case. It gets slow and sometimes laggy because of heating issues. I only use it for calls and some photography now. I enjoy using the pen for gimmicks LOL. The s21 was more stable IMO.

Love this phone so far!

I've had this for a little over a week now and honestly I'm in love with the device so far. I'm really not a fan of the rounded corners on a lot of devices but the S22 Ultra has nice square corners. The physical design of the S22 Ultra is beautiful in my eyes. Everything from the individual circles for the cameras on the back to subtle design choices else where. I know a lot of phones these days are all just slabs of glass with a metal frame and in a way everything looks the same, but I just personally really like this design choice they made here.
Performance is quick but every phone I've used in the past few years feels quick so there is nothing really new in that aspect. The cameras are amazing but cameras on flagship phones have always been amazing for the past few years. The visual quality of the display is amazing though. Everything just looks great on the display. The screen is incredibly bright too, I had no issues at all in direct sunlight. At first I thought I was going to hate the curved sides on the display but it grew on me almost instantly. The fact that It makes me feel like the display goes all the way to the top and bottom is hard to describe. Sometimes the curve does have some reflections on it but I don't feel like that happens often enough for me to dislike it. Its only on that tiny sliver of space on the top and bottom so generally it doesn't interfere with anything visually. The fact that the display does not have curved corners really makes a big difference. It really gives a different level of immersion. I don't use the S-Pen much but the one time I actually used it was great. It worked well and the functions were pretty intuitive. The Samsung skin they use, One UI, Is a lot better than what it was in the past. It looks much simpler and closer to what other android brands have as a skin. Things aren't overly complicated and the search function works great. I'm really digging this phone for the "Simple is best" feeling I get from it as a whole.
Now onto a few minor negatives. The vibration motor is a little bit weak. The battery life is not as amazing as I thought it would be. I think the S-Pen is sipping a little bit of the battery life which is why It just doesn't last as long as I thought a 5000mah battery would last. I wish Samsung let me uninstall/disable more of the built in apps that I'm not using. I feel like I have a lot of "doubles" of apps that I'm not using but can't get rid of either. I wish the warranty went on for a bit longer too. For such an expensive premium flagship, I feel like you should be getting a tiny bit more overall.
Now for the bit more controversial segment. The whole Samsung GOS throttling issue.
Personally, I never really noticed my device being throttled. Even when gaming, things still felt "fine" for me. I dunno if its just the games I'm playing, or the settings I'm playing at, or something else, but I never felt like it was bad. I do recognize the fact that there is plenty of evidence to suggest GOS is throttling everything and I'm in complete support for some kind of reimbursement or fix or whatever to users/customers. I think Apple did something similar a while back. Well, once GOS is disabled/removed/whatever happens, I'm curious to see if my device will feel any different. The device feels great now so it's hard to imagine it being even better?
Hope this review helps you make a decision on what device to buy. Happy shopping!

The S20 was the last of the best series. Every thing else is trash. Go back to having SD card slots and stop trying to be Apple.

Hi Samsung User, thank you for your feedback on your Galaxy S22 Ultra. We are always looking for ways to improve our products and user experience for the future based on user feedback. Thank you again for your feedback and being a valued Samsung user.
Should you need more assistance, please feel free to get back to us via the following options:
I don't understand why so many reviews on this phone aren't favorable. I have an S22 Ultra and it's the best phone I've owned. I was honestly trying to decide whether to join my wife and get an IPhone 13 Pro Max or this as they're both great phones, but I'm glad I got this one. It's incredibly fast at gaming, browsing, and data transfers. Call quality and connection strength is even a bit better than my wife's phone and any bluetooth connections are nearly instantaneous without hiccups. I honestly don't use the S pen too much so I can't speak on that but everything else is fantastic. Camera is excellent with no issues, voice assistant is in some ways better or worse than Siri but great overall, speaker sound quality is almost as clear and loud as the 13 ProMax which is great, and the battery life has been really good too. Sure my wife's 13 ProMax lasts about 2-2.5 hours more at the end of the day which is crazy, but my S22 Ultra also charges up in nearly half the time which for me is more helpful. If I'm being completely honest both phones are the best you can buy right now and each one will be better than the other in certain areas (for instance I slightly prefer the flat screen edge of the Iphone over my curved screen) but overall, at least for me, the S22 Ultra has been a stellar phone.

All around phone and reasonable substitute to N20U

Its been 2 weeks since I had the phone. I feel almost at home coming from Note 20 Ultra. The performance and everything almost feel the same. The camera may be a tad bit better. I do no see to much of the difference with performance but I do see it has upgraded 5G modem and the speeds with which its transferring data is mind boggling. I got ~500MBPS on T-mobile. So all in all a good substitute for note lovers especially coming from Note 9-> Note 20 U-> S22U
