Lack of Features

I've had my s22 ultra now for about 6months. The most discouraging thing is the lack of an SD card. I didn't do my research and wasn't aware of this till after my purchase was made. No SD card means storage is used up quickly, the other disappointments are, no power off button and a ridiculously awkward way to take a screenshot. Why put so much effort in designing a "Top of the line" phone yet miss the mark on some very important features. Disappointed....
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hi Brandon,
We appreciate you taking the time to review the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Your feedback is appreciated as it ensures we bring our consumers the best in product design and functionality. There’s another way to switch off your device besides the side buttons. Swipe down from the top of the screen. Swipe down a second time and press the ‘power’ icon in the top right corner next to the search icon. However, you can also go into Settings> Advanced features>Side Key. From there you are able to change the side key from Wake Bixby to Power off menu. Right below that is also a guide on How to power off your phone. Concerning storage, there are three options available for the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra: 128, 256, and 512GBs. I've attached a link that shows the multiple ways you are able to take a screenshot. Please reach out to Samsung Support for any further assistance. Thank you for being a valued customer. -Bethany

An ok upgrade.

Bought this phone on August, not because I wanted it but becase my phone got stolen. I had a note 10+ and i was happy with it. If you have a note 10+ or s10+ or above... Save your money, they just did a few upgrades that are not worth paying the money. Save your money. The phone feel a little heavy on the hand. It does heats up. The camera is probably a little better but not much of a diferent (this is if you take regular pics like me). This phone is like having the galaxy s21 but w/out the plastic arround the back cameras.
It is dum that Samsung wants to upgrade the phone and the only difference is a few aspects, they change the pen to the left (annoying) and the power and volume buttons to right (blah).
I wish LG would have put more RAM and memory to their phones, wouldn't mind paying more, because i kind of like their LG Velvet and what to say about the LG Wing...

Great features, no SD

I bought this a few months ago and I mostly love it.
As someone who creates social media content, I absolutely cannot stand that it doesn't have a micro SD card slot and I have to either pay for cloud storage or spend a ton of time dumping all of the files onto a PC or backup hard drive.
Samsung, please add micro sd slots back to your phones, this is horrible for those of us that use our phones to create content.

Overall, this feels more like a downgrade...
on December 13, 2022

I'm somewhat underwhelmed from this S22 Ultra...my older phone was a Note 20 Ultra 5G. I upgraded due to the camera potential, but I haven't seen a great improvement, just a greater memory hog. The Note 20 took wonderful easy photos and video...perhaps I need a power user guide to get more out of this S22 Ultra. The lack of availability of power user guides and the way Samsung cheapened up the accessories for this camera is another big problem. Samsung charges more for accessories, such as covers, that are so inferior to the ones for the Note 20 Ultra. Overall, this feels more like a downgrade, instead of an upgrade!

Network Connectivity Issue Drop Calls S22 Ultra

I bought this S22 Ultra a year ago. Network connectivity issues. Google about it and you will find out. I asked AT&T warranty and they offered to send me a replacement phone in a month and a half. So I will be without a phone for 45 days. Only way it works is when it's connected to the WIFi.

Going back to Samsung

I've had my Galaxy S7 since 2016, decided to upgrade to the Galaxy S22 Ultra because I wasn't getting any updates and had issues getting new apps. Now, the only reason why I decided to get the S22 Ultra was because it's the one with the largest memory. I preorder on February 15th and got it on February 24th. I got the burgundy 512gb, with barely any apps installed I'm already at 165gb. Obviously no headphone 3.5mm jack, and no sd card slot. This phone heats up real fast and the battery it's a nightmare. It goes from "super fast cherging" to "fast charging" after being plugged in for a couple of minutes. It tells you how long it will take to charge and I timed it, it gives you the wrong time. It literally takes almost 2 hours to charge, mind you, it's a super fast new charger. This brand new phone also deletes random contacts, and the call quality is horrible. I am using the same phone provider and I've never had this issue with the S7. Maybe it's just this phone, but the camera sucks. Freezes up and it's laggy too. I've been getting Samsung phones since 2008 and been a Samsung Galaxy fan since the S2. This is unfortunate, but I rather pay more with another company that will deliver. Will be returning. Save your money, my brothers own the Samsung A32 5g and the A52 5g and they both get sd card slot, 3.5 headphone jack and a better battery than with this S22 Ultra. I don't mind paying lots of money when I'm getting what I paid for.

Great phone but worst battery
on March 13, 2022

This phone is one of the best in the class but the battery is worst. I have to charge twice a day and I am not a heavy user nor do games on the phone. Changed to power saving and still the battery didn't last for a whole day.
When I unplugged my phone after full charge battery drained 1% a minute with sreen time and if I leave wifi on during night time, the battery drains to 30-40% in the morning.
I am not sure if it needs the update (last software update Jan 1, 2022) but this is unacceptable for this expensive phone.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great phone

Just for the posts that i have seen, my note 20 ultra at firat had issues with the screen and cutting out and i would have to restart the app or phone. But after a month they gave updates that my phone downloaded and it put a stop to the issues. Just figured i would put that out there give it a little time. New phones get updates that help solve these issues. Well it helped mine. And i will get a new phone soon again in the future. As for now samsung is the best ive ever had.
I would recommend this to a friend!
