I had high hopes. The screen is of course amazing. The S Pen is a nice trick but I don't use it enough to miss it. The design isn't familiar to the S family, but we knew that going in. What we didn't know was how awful the battery is. Like many reviews, I can confirm that this phone won't make it through most of the day on a single charge. Like,, not even half the day. That's very disappointing considering it is an incremental upgrade. Also, despite what others say, the camera isn't any better than the S21.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

S22 ultra graphite

I was bummed about the wait but honestly it was worth it! The graphite Samsung exclusive is beautiful I fell in love with Samsung messing with my girlfriends Note 20 ultra so I ditched my I phone and got the s21 ultra and just got the s pen with the case. It wasn't bad with the case but I really wanted the square look of the Note and I didn't want the added bulk of a s pen case. I was pumped when the s22 ultra was officially announced and I hurried and purchased the white one without even looking at the other colors I saw the graphite a week later on the website and I canceled my original order. The wait was longer but I'm so glad I waited. If you have the s21 ultra and are thinking about upgrading I personally feel it's worth it. It just feels like the s21 is an unfinished hybrid. However, only do this if you have the money to blow on a phone because performance wise not much difference my decision was primarily about esthetics.

They reduced the power input of the phone with their shady apps and software. Whats the point paying so much for a high end phone!?? Just wait for black Friday, the only goodpart was the S-Pen.

I've used my Galaxy S22 Ultra (512GB, Green) for two weeks, and this phone keeps making me disappointed daily. I've been using Galaxy from Note 1, 3, 7, 9, and 10+. I love using S Pen. First of all, my new S pen has an odd smell like burning plastic which makes me very uncomfortable to use it because of the smell. Second, the phone gets warmer easily when I watch movies and use apps, and even I feel hot when I talk on the phone without using any additional devices like earbuds. Third, its sound is not good quality. I have to make the maximum of the volume to use its speakerphone for a phone call. Of course, its volume is not good enough for watching movies or dramas. Forth, this phone is heavier than I expected. Fifth, its camera quality is not impressive except its zoom function. Sixth, its body color (Green) is not pretty nor stylish. I can add more of my disappointments about this phone...but I stop here. Now, I am looking for a way of returning this phone since I haven't sent my Galaxy Note 10+ for the trade-in yet. I think the best phone is the Note 10+, but it is over three year old, so I am a kind of a dilemma. As a Samsung's loyal customer, I am pretty much frustrated at the quality of my new phone: Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Questionable negative S22 Ultra 5G reviews

Many of the negative reviews of the new S22 Ultra are almost bewildering because, I've had mine for almost two weeks and it has been nothing short of flawless, so I tend to question the REAL motives of some of the reviews being left. Some of the alleged issues could be connected to the area where people live, the quality of the connection and service of the carrier being used, not adjusting the settings on the device, and not keeping the updates current. Who knows?? But for me, the S22 Ultra 5G has been the best Samsung device I've ever owned, so I truly question the motives of many of negative comments being left.

Huge upgrade!

Worst smart phone ever

I have been a loyal android and Samsung customer since the beginning of smart phones. This is by far the worst phone I've ever had. I upgraded from a note 9 because the screen was broken but I'm seriously thinking of reprogramming my old phone, crack and all. I hate the finger print sensor, it will randomly just do whatever it wants in the middle of using it. While on Facebook messenger, or text it will lock up and not allow me to scroll and the worst part is I will randonmly loose service and have to restart the phone. I understand that some of that may be my carrier, Verizon and the 5G network but that never happened with my old note 9. There is not one thing this phone does better!

The glass on my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra shattered after dropping the phone from about a foot high off the ground even with a case on the phone. This was the biggest issue with the phone by far and made me overlook the WiFi/IP connection issues. No way a phone should shatter this easily on such a short fall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
