Fast, But Disappointing Performance

I recently upgraded from a Motorola to Samsung, based on recommendations from friends. I expected much better performance from a brand new phone, especially a Samsung. This phone freezes constantly (whether I'm in an app or not) and kicks me out of Messenger and Samsung Messages. It is next to impossible to complete a text or message. This is very frustrating! There are numerous online reviews with the same complaint about freezing. I don't know what is wrong and everything I have tried does not fix the problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this phone. The clarity, size, camera, features and space. I did purchase with more GB for space but happy I did. Very happy with purchase so far, only had the phone for about two weeks.
