I like the new phone but the battery doesn't last as long as my S23 Ultra that was over a year old. I don't overcharge. It'll decrease to 99% almost immediately after I disconnect from the charger

Been using my old faithful, s10. It's starting to slow down and I was hesitant to upgrade because I LOVE my sd card for my media. I've watched many YouTube videos and decided to finally take the plunge. I have yet to put my sim card in my new phone. After playing with it, the volume is HORRIBLE . I love listening to my music. I'm upset it didn't come with the charging plug/base and I don't know how to work all the features. Guess I better start watching "how to videos." I was nervous about the size since my hands are small but it's a smidget bigger than my lovely s10 so I'm happy it's not real big. Wish it had a headphone jack because my purple buds 2 are too big for my little ears so I never use them. Hopefully Samsung will improve the speaker and volume.

Great phone ruined by poor screen

There are many things to like about this phone, a couple of small issues and one big flaw.
In most ways, this is only a marginal improvement over the S23+.
It has a great processor, decent memory, plenty of storage, great battery life.

The speakers are mediocre and it likely has a heat dissipation issue (doesn't impact my use).
However, they seemed to have really missed the mark on the screen, bordering on a defect.
The colors are not vibrant and the screen has a grainy appearance at low brightness levels with certain colors, like dark/med gray.
Some people also complain about faint lines on the screen, but I have not seen that on mine.

Do your self a favor and do a search on "Galaxy S24 grainy screen" and read up before you order one.
IMO, since this phone doesn't really offer much improvement over the previous generation, Samsung rushed it to beat the competitors.
Of course Samsung will deny any screen issues. I would return mine, but I did a trade in, so kinda stuck with it (seems like I say that a lot with Samsung devices).

Coming from OnePlus 12, the S24+ is good. The overall volume seems low for voice and Bluetooth speaker. However, Samsung has service centers in the U.S., where with OnePlus you're on your own. A throw away phone.

Best Phone I've Ever Owned In My Life!!

I just bought the S24 Ultra back in May, after 6 years of owning the Note 9, and before that, the S-5. I am not easily impressed anymore...but THIS phone definitely managed to do it! For one, it's LIGHTNING fast at doing EVERYTHING. For another, after 2 decades of phone cameras that never have better than a 10x zoom...THIS one has 100x! I was able to take MOON PHOTOS with it, and instead of being just a small, bright blob...I was able to get close enough to where the whole Moon wouldn't even fit in the camera frame!
I love the Ultra, because like the Note phones before it, it has the larger screen (and since I watch videos and stream TV and movies every single day...that's important to me!), larger capacity storage (512 GB standard), better battery life, and WAY better camera!
Since May, I've taken over 10,000 photos already, including 3,000 on a beach trip just last week! I'm used to my old phones being relatively slow...but not THIS one--it does EVERYTHING 5 times faster than my last phone did on its BEST day!
I love EVERYTHING about this phone, and I'm SO glad I decided to get one. I can't praise this phone's features ENOUGH, to be honest!
