The S24 Ultra has a great camera with amazing zoom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my phone all the time to listen to audiobooks while working around the house and yard. It had an update that introduced some hiccups with my bluetooth for a bit, but Samsung seemed to fix that problem pretty quick.
I also can't get over how great the telephoto capabilities are for a phone! Of course the phone is always there to take photos of my son or wife, phones have been great for that for a while. But when we go on vacation or the zoo and see an animal that you can't get close to, it is nice to also get great shots of them that look like you used a dedicated camera with a zoom lens or were way too close!
Through all this, the battery life optimization seems to work wonderfully for me. On a trip to Disney, my son was playing Pokémon Go on my phone when we were in line, I was often looking at Disney's Park app for ride wait times, and I would take photos throughout the day. My wife was doing the same things, maybe a little heavier, but she needed a power bank to make it through the day and I ended with over 30% charge left.
So overall, I have to say there is only two things I don't like about this phone. First is the curved edges, which make putting on a screen protector a pain and causes them to break more often. And second is the in screen fingerprint scanner. I'm sorry, but they just do not work as well as the old ones on the back. Both are annoying, but they are tradeoffs I can live with. Personal rating would be 9/10 or 4.5/5 stars, but let's say 5

Suggestion for improvement of AI experience

AI hype not simple to fibf

Definitely needs updated features

I would say I would go back to the Samsung Galaxy s21 or my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. Unfortunately until there is an update the Samsung s24 ultra the features are not good also my main issue is Android Auto does not connect to my car anymore and my camera features are not as good as my camera features that were on the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra
I would say I would go back to the Samsung Galaxy s21 or my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra. Unfortunately until there is an update the Samsung s24 ultra the features are not good also my main issue is Android Auto does not connect to my car anymore and my camera features are not as good as my camera features that were on the Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra

Surprisingly Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Samsung Ultra phones and have been using them for awhile now; when they decided to get rid of the note series and shove a pen into the ultra's starting in 2022 I was shocked. Since then I've stuck with my reliable s21 Ultra with my curved screen and round corners. With the introduction of AI to the Galaxy s24 line I decided to finally risk my palms for the sharp corners and to see what the S Pen is made of. I can't lie I was pleasantly surprised, so far I haven't jabbed myself with the corners and whenever I'm bored I can doodle little accurate stick figures in my notes. The phone is beautiful and performs like any ultra series should, crisp clear pictures and ultra fast gaming. Add in the AI features and it was worth the upgrade. If your on the fence about the S pen and wondering what you'll use it for don't sweat it, try it out and if you don't like it you can just keep it in the phone and forget about it. The phone is amazing and needs no s pen to make it worth it. Would definitely recommend.

Finally ... The PERFECT S Ultra

I use my s24 ultra for photography, work, AI models, email, Google meet, note taking, fitness tracking, and many other things.
Previously, I was a die hard Note fan. When the Note series was discontinued, I was so bummed out. I then grabbed an s21 ultra to only discover that the following year the phone would feature an s pen within the device!!!!
I kept the s21 for 3 years and could have kept it much longer. Having the flat screen, the s pen, an upgraded camera, and some of the AI photo editing features was no brainer for me. I received the phone pre release (Jan 26th, 2024), so I've had it a little over a week. The S24 has met and exceeded all of my expectations.
-Battery life ... Superb, WAY better than expected
-Cameras: WOW, incredible!
-Speed
-eco system (tablet, watch, earbuds), seamless use and integration into my every day life!
