Washed out screen's colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using samsung since galaxy s2. And this has been the worse screen so far. Plus the phone lost it's curved screen and now looks thicker and uglier

Great upgrade - AI is awesome!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First and foremost, I'm a little biased when talking about Samsung.
I've been using Samsung devices (tablets, phones, earpods, washer, TVs) for over 10 years now.
Talking specifically about the S24 Ultra, it was an upgrade over my S22Ultra.
First impressions were GREAT, Amazing even.
Lightning fast processing speed, easier integration with the rest of my home (due to One UI 6.1)
Camera is good. Not a huge improvement as just yet, but the following updates over the next months should change that (for the better). All other Samsung launches have gone through similar situations where the Launch day itself isn't something WOW, but the next updates should prove a better improvement.
As for the AI, crazy good! I can actually edit pictures and videos directly from my device without the need of a 3rd party app (for most things).
One downside - I was one of the MANY people plagued with the dull colors in my display....icons and experience feel washed out and lifeless when compared to other (or previous) phones.
Hopefully Samsung corrects this over a software update over the next few weeks. I almost returned the device as it doesn't SEEM or Feel right in the color department.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love all of the AI, and how fast this phone is. The flat screen has been better than I imagined. The voice to text on samsung keyboard is not as good as Gboard, I Really miss SD cards and infrared transmitters.

wonderful Galaxy Phone with battery heat problems

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to upgrade from an s22 to the s24 ultra, and one thing I was looking forward to was my phone not overheating from simple multi-tasking, but it seems that the phone still gets quite hot. Other than that one issue I am very happy with the phone, like the way it looks and works, and need more time with the camera to give that an honest opinion.

Great potential but mediocre initial release.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The phone was an initially good phone until I started to find several deficiencies in the functionality. The first thing that I noticed was that the screen was grainy and that the colors were a bit muted. I think I can live with the muted colors specially understanding that there is an update coming that is intended to resolve the vivid display option.
The graininess is something that I'm a bit more weary of. It appears that when there is a dark color and light colors side by side. I am concerned that the graininess issue might be a hardware problem rather than a software problem.
The camera shuttering when switching between different zoom lengths is another annoying issue. I have seen several people refer to it as the barn door effect.
Despite these issues, I that the phone has great functionality and features. I would rate it 10 out of 10 if the graininess issue can be resolved. As it stands though, I wouldn't upgrade from the S23 Ultra unless you confirm there is resolution to the items I mentioned above

In some indoor environments you may notice a flickering black line while recording a video with Super Steady mode or a short shutter speed in Pro video mode. This is caused by the indoor lighting and is not an indication of an issue with the phone. Modern lighting frequently uses fluorescent, or LED based bulbs actually flicker on and off very quickly. This happens so quickly; the human eye perceives it as a steady light. When a camera, such as the one on your Galaxy device, uses a shutter speed that is faster than this flicker, it may appear that the image is flickering, or it may appear as a black bar that travels across the image. To eliminate this artifact, try the following: * Add more light to the scene. * Disable Super steady. Super steady mode uses a very fast shutter speed. * If you are using Pro Video mode, you'll likely see this phenomenon begin at speeds faster than 1/125. Adjust the shutter speed slower until the artifact disappears. Samsung continuously enhances Galaxy device experiences based on our consumer feedback.
