I really wanted to like it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My baby is 4 and 1/2 months old and gets very gassy when drinking from a bottle (Sometimes I have to burp him after he drinks an ounce). The current bottle we are using is anti-colic and has a standard, narrow neck. I was still trying to get him to breastfeed so I was in the market for a wide-neck, anti-colic bottle when I was given the opportunity to test and review the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle (wide-neck).
The Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle features are:
Natural response nipple - baby drinks, swallows and breathes using their natural rhythm, just like at the breast
No drip nipple design
Natural latch due to wide breast shaped nipple
Soft nipple designed to mimic the feel of the breast
Flexible spiral and comfort petal design of the nipple, which make the nipple more flexible and prevent nipple collapse when baby is drinking
Anti-colic valve
Ergonomic-shaped bottle
Simple to use and clean, quick and easy assembly
Compatible with Philips Avent Natural range (mix and match with breast pump, bottle and cup parts)
BPA-free

I’ve been using the bottles for several weeks with the size 2, 3, and 5 nipples. These are my pros and cons list:
Pros:
- The glass is really thick and durable, much more so than my current glass bottle
- I like the wide-neck nipple because it’s more like a breast than my current standard, narrow nipple bottle
- Bottle doesn’t leak from nipple ring. I have used a bottle that leaked everywhere because the design was terrible.
- Only 3 pieces plus the cap so it’s super easy to assemble. My current bottle has 5 pieces plus the cap.
- The glass is really thick and durable, much more so than my current glass bottle
- I like the wide-neck nipple because it’s more like a breast than my current standard, narrow nipple bottle
- Bottle doesn’t leak from nipple ring. I have used a bottle that leaked everywhere because the design was terrible.
- Only 3 pieces plus the cap so it’s super easy to assemble. My current bottle has 5 pieces plus the cap.
Cons:
- Nipples do drip (I noticed that Size 2 and 5 do not drip, but Size 1 and 3 do drip. See pictures)
- For the nipples that drip: after milk is heated, milk shoots out when you’re trying to test the milk temperature on your wrist. I’ve tried opening the bottle after heating to release any pressure, but milk still shoots out.
- Heavy bottle; may not be good for elderly grandparents or those with arthritis
- The cap is hard to open, especially if I pre-poured milk in the bottle to store in the refrigerator
For my baby, Level 2 nipple was too slow and Level 3 was way too fast

So I really wanted to like the product, but it was more troublesome than my current bottle with the milk shooting out after heated and the nipple levels that weren’t consistently no-drip. I couldn’t find a level that worked for my baby since level 2 was too slow and level 3 was way too fast.

Win for mom and baby

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had tried a competitors highly rated bottle with multiple components for colic and quickly found our little guy did not like them, they leaked, and they were a pain to clean. They were also plastic and I am not a fan of plastics if I can avoid them.
I was so excited to receive these Philips Avent Natural Glass baby bottles. They were exactly what we needed. We had received a smaller plastic sample from a registry perk and found our little guy did very well with the Avent wide brim bottles.
These glass versions, are a dream! Baby boy does great with them. They are rather heavy but he has never been one to try and hold the bottle as is, so it’s not an issue for us.
I love how easy they are to clean and assemble. We have taken road trips and had no issues with leaking and they have been very durable. We did need a faster nipple that’s what was supplied, but that was an easy fix.
We love these and will continue to use Avent Natural Glass bottles with future kiddos! So grateful to have received these from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

Non staining bottles are a delight

Our plastic bottles we've been using for over a month have clouded from repeated boil cleaning/milk use and no longer "look" clean even though they are. We had the opportunity to test these out through the Stellar Product Testing Panel. These glass bottles are so easy to clean and only use 3 pieces, which are all easy to clean. The bottle too is wide-mouthed so you don't have to fight hard to clean it all through! The glass is pretty thick so its on the heavy side. Good news is that it won't break if you drop it (we've done that), but our 6 month old can't really hold it up. Our baby has been pretty selective with her bottle nipples but she took this one super fast. Seems to have no issues gulping it down! 100% think these should be in your house with a baby!

Steller Avent Natural Response Glass bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received these bottle through the Stellar Product Testing panel. Our baby was bottle fed from week one, he is very accustom to bottles and does have a preference now that he is much older. These were the first secondary bottles he took compared to his normal bottle. The fast flow was really nice and the glass was really easy to hold. I was surprised how "light" they were for glass. They washed well in the dishwasher as well. They were easy to switch out nipples for different sizes and they did not drip even with the faster flow nipple.
Although these weren't my babies #1 bottle, he still used them and didn't push it away immediately which hasn't happened before. I think had we had these from the get go he would have liked them more than his current set up. They are really nice bottles! I gave a few to my friends after using them myself for their new babies on the way.

Great for breastfed babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little girl is 7 months old and is breast and bottle fed with breastmilk. She is VERY picky about what bottle she will take. We currently use another bottle by a different brand that is also glass, so I was really happy to try the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple. We are using the 6+ month nipples.
I was so surprised that my daughter had NO problems taking the Avent Glass Natural Baby bottle! I couldn’t believe it! We have been using this set ever since offering it to her because it has way less pieces than the other brand we were using. It’s so nice to wash less dishes! Putting together the bottle is incredibly easy! My daughter spits up quite a bit, and she is still spitting up even when changing to the Avent.
The glass bottle is great quality! So far we haven’t damaged or broken any bottles. They sterilize and dry easily in our sterilizer. The wide nipple has been easy for my daughter to take, and she seems very happy with the flow. I thought she would be upset with the Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle because milk doesn’t drip out of the nipple without her sucking, but she didn’t seem to mind since it’s the same as when she nurses.
I definitely recommend the Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple! Thank you so much Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending this bottle set for us to try! We are hooked!

Great bottle set

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thai bottle set has become my go-to for my 9month old. The wide mouth is very convenient since she is on formula. Our previous bottles were narrow and we ended up with powder all over. I also like that the lid is quick and easy to get on. I can do it with one hand while holding her with the other. She seems happy with the nipples but to be honest she’s been a good eater with everything we’ve used so far.
I received this set as part of the Stellar Prosuct Testing Panel, but I liked it so much I bought a few more to stock up.

Excellent Quality Glass Bottle

Simple design that is dishwasher safe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle set. The glass bottles are sturdy and allow for convenient dishwasher safe clean up. The impressions on the sides are convenient for gripping. Assembly was quick with no extra small pieces. The printed on fluid measurement labels allow for easy tracking of consumption though I wonder how the labels will hold up to repeated washings. With the multiple nipples, it is easy to figure out the right flow for my baby. My baby is almost exclusively breast fed and finding a bottle that works for him so I can help my wife out has been tricky. These bottles have made the list.
