Great glass bottle
on April 14, 2022
Posted by: Andrea
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this bottle. The wide nipple works for my baby’s latch, and the glass is sturdy! The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I don’t think the glass will hold up to multiple drops as babies tend to do, so you will want a sleeve to help protect it. I did receive this product for free as part of Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for an honest review!

Excellent option for glass bottles
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using glass bottles, instead of plastic bottles, for baby number 3, and these bottles work great! Easy to clean and not too many parts. I personally don't like the silicone sleeves (for this or any brand) because they are hard to take on and off. We have had no issues with using the bottles without the sleeve. I would definitely recommend! I received this product through the Stellar product testing panel in exchange for an honest review.

Sturdy Bottle and Easy to Clean
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We’ve used bottles made by Avent before and we really like these glass ones for the simple fact that they are much easier to clean than the plastic ones. They also look a lot cleaner as well and don’t get a film on the inside. The bottle is really high quality and sturdy. The wide nipple was very easy for our seven month baby to take and comfortably eat/breathe. The bottle is quite a bit heavier than other standard bottles we’ve tried and it’s a little harder for our baby to hold on his own.
Overall this is a really high quality bottle, easy to clean, and convenient to use. Just a bit heavy.

Love a glass bottle
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Philips Avent Glass Baby bottle. Using glass instead of plastic is super important to me and this bottle fits the bill of what I'm looking for. The silicon sleeve serves as a nice protection, although the glass does not seem fragile at all. Mine has fallen and hit the hard wood floor without even a small chip. My baby was happy with this bottle and drank his formula happily. I received this baby bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

The attention to detail is apparent
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Flow: 5/5
Using a flow rate of 3, this bottle provided sufficient milk while the baby drank. When held upside down with liquid (the bottle, not the baby), it did not leak one drop.
Durability: 5/5
I tested this by pouring boiling water into the bottle, emptying it, and immediately pouring cold water into it. After repeating this test a couple times, this convinced me that the bottle can repeatedly withstand sudden sharp changes in temperature.
Ease of Use: 5/5
Philips paid attention to little details that can make a huge difference when taking care of a baby. For example, the lid is easy to remove with one hand which is often necessary since the other hand is holding the baby. The measurement indicators for milliliters and ounces are on separate sides of the bottle which makes it much easier to read compared to other bottles of a similar type.
Baby Approved: Yes
The baby held the bottle easily and drank readily. When pausing for air, there was no dripping liquid that might cause the baby to choke or cough. The baby experienced no gastrointestinal distress or colic-like symptoms while using the bottle.
Final Thoughts:
Overall this is an excellent product. It easily exceeds comparable bottles in design and build quality. My only criticism is that no silicon sleeves were included. Especially for small babies, silicon sleeves with handles make the bottle easier to grip. This is of course easily resolved with another purchase but would take some effort finding a sleeve that fits properly.
Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this baby bottle.

High Quality Bottle
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We received this bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. We have used plastic bottles in the past and have really liked this glass bottle because it’s very easy to clean and it maintains its clean appearance. Many plastic bottles look foggy or have a film after being cleaned but the glass bottle stays clear and clean.
The wide nipple is just right for our seven month old baby (size 3 flow), and he is able to eat while maintaining his breaths. The flow rate seems just right for his age.
The only downside to this bottle is that it’s a bit heavier than a plastic bottle and our baby isn’t able to hold it on his own as long without his arms getting tired. But it’s a very high quality and sturdy bottle that will stand the rest of time and withstand a lot of wear and tear.

High quality and easy to use
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel and it’s been a great addition to our feeding routine. I usually nurse but occasionally pump and bottle feed for on-the-go and only use silicone and glass bottles (personal preference). This is clearly a high quality glass and seems very durable, and has a slim profile that allows it to fit nicely in my diaper bag without being so narrow that it’s hard to clean thoroughly. My baby has no issues with it and seems to find a comfortable milk flow quickly and feeds happily. We used this bottle recently on a long road trip and I also found that it held the milk at the desired temperature for longer than other bottles.

Review for Avent Glass Bottle
on April 14, 2022

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel in exchange for an honest review. Overall, I thought the 8oz Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple was good, however, I am not in love with it. Pros: I really like that it is glass, as we decided to use only glass or silicone bottles with our daughter and steer clear of plastics. The feel of the bottle is nice and is good quality. It seems like it would be durable and last a long time. It is also fairly easy to clean with a bottle brush and only has 3 parts to wash. However, I still prefer the bottles we currently are using, as they have an even wider mouth and I can get my hand inside to clean off tough to get spots. My daughter took to the bottle well, although to be honest she has not been too picky in the past with different bottles or nipples, even though she is primarily breastfed. At first, the flow seemed a little fast and my daughter was coughing and spitting it out, but I think she was just getting used to it, because the next couple of times she didn’t seem to have a problem. Cons: My daughter, who is 9 months old, had a hard time holding the bottle for very long. With the current bottle we use (silicone) she can hold it with ease. But with this bottle she kept dropping her hands – I think because it was too heavy. Another con was it leaked a little from the cap when I was shaking it. It was not a lot, but it was still annoying. Also, because it is glass it can get quite hot on the outside where you are holding the bottle, but the milk inside is still not warm enough. I am also still confused with the flow rates. I received the level 3 which is labeled for 1m+ (level 4 is 3m+ and level 5 is 6m+). I assumed because my daughter is 9 months old that she could be using the level 5, however, like I mentioned, the level 3 already seemed fairly fast. She finished the bottle very quickly. It seems like a lot of levels to have if the baby is supposed to control the pace anyways. Finally, I was disappointed I was not sent the silicone sleeves, this would have made me more confident in letting my daughter use it independently and it not breaking if dropped. Overall a good product that I could easily recommend as an option for moms, but still is not personally my favorite bottle.
