Quality Glass Bottle for Breastfed Babies

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you're looking for a high-quality glass bottle, the 8oz Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple is it! This bottle is easy to grip and all parts are top-rack dishwasher safe, which is a big plus in my house. It comes with a nipple that mimics the shape of a breast and releases milk only when your baby is actively drinking, which means no leaks. This nipple is likely perfect for breastfed babies. My kiddo hasn't breastfed in 7 months, and has been on basic, fast-flow nipples for some time, so it took her a couple tries to figure out how to get the milk out. The bottle itself is pretty heavy as well, so this is probably not the one to have baby learn to hold. And one last thing to keep in mind, if your kiddo goes to daycare, is a lot of daycares will not accept glass products. Other than these few cons, this bottle feels like it will last a lifetime. *I was given this baby bottle to try as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.*

Great bottle just a bit heavy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle as part of the stellar testing pane, and overall this was a great bottle for my breastfeeding baby, she latched really well to it and took it well. I loved the design of the bottle and it was really comfortable to hold for feedings, the only downfall was that it was a VERY heavy bottle. The shape and tip were very close to mimicking breastfeeding and she was very comfortably able to pause and breathe while feeding. The quality of the bottle was great, but again, just too heavy for daily use and to take on the go. I loved the silicon sleeves that were included and it was a nice additional feature to have.

Great bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Being a first time mom, I have been pretty good about researching everything my baby drinks, eats, sits on, plays with, etc. I can see why moms love the Philips Avent Natural Glass Baby Bottle! The glass baby bottle is very easy to clean and change the nipple of. My son adjusted quickly from his other bottles and nipples to this one. I was skeptical of a glass baby bottle, but it was easy to grip onto. The silicone sleeves make it super easy to hold. I love that the product is anti-colic and didn't upset my little guy's belly. Definitely a plus! Because it is glass, it is completely BPA free and doesn't contain any harmful chemicals. Since glass doesn't absorb the odors and "flavors" of formula/breastmilk, the bottle is going to maintain the purity of whatever your babe is drinking.
On the downside, because it is glass, the bottle is quite heavy. I don't plan on my little dude holding it by himself anytime soon. I'm in the process of letting him hold his bottle more and more, but that won't be happening anytime soon with a glass bottle. It is too heavy for him to hold just yet. I would definitely purchase more knowing that the pros outweigh the cons. Thank you to Stellar Product Testing Pan for providing me and my little man with this glass bottle to test and review!

Glass Bottles are Made to Last

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this baby bottle from the Stellar Product Testing Panel. My baby and I both love the 8oz Philips Avent Glass Natural Baby Bottle With Natural Response Nipple! I have used the older model of the Philips Avent Glass bottles with all three of my children, so I was excited to try this updated version. My baby is nine months old, so he’s pretty adept at taking a bottle, and he had no issues with this one. He can hold the bottle himself, and with the responsive tip he is able to swallow and pause to take a breath with no problem. The nipple shape is a little different than the older model, but not so much that he noticed. If anything I think it looks more natural. What I love most about these bottles is the glass. They are sturdy and made to last. The older models we have are 8 years old and aside from changing out the nipples with each baby, they’ve withstood the test of time. I’ve breastfed and pumped for each of my babies and I like to think the Philips Avent bottles helped us on our breastfeeding journey.

Great bottle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very surprised with how great this bottle was. The glass feels so sturdy and the nipple was perfect for my little one. I thought he would have trouble drinking from it, but he had no problem at all. In fact, I felt like he swallowed way less air with this bottle than others we've used before. I would definitely recommend this for someone who is wanting a quality glass bottle. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for sending me this bottle to review! Now I want to buy more!

Great quality

I really loved the quality of the bottle. Having the glass gives a peace of mind of what types of chemicals are going into the milk. I am exclusively breast-feeding so the shape of the nipple seemed to work well with my baby.
My baby isn’t holding a bottle on her own yet. But the only thing I would be worried about is when that time comes the bottle is pretty heavy. Otherwise it’s a great design great quality I didn’t have any issues with leaking.
I would recommend this bottle to anyone looking to steer clear of plastics!

Durable and easy to use

A bit heavy for a small child to hold, but can withstand being dropped (multiple times). My son was used to smaller nipples, but this one seemed to help him eat without long pauses. I received the product as part of the Stellar product testing panel.

Nice quality but did not work for picky baby

My son is very picky about what bottles he’ll take, and there’s only 2 brands he has ever accepted after trying at least 6 different types. He had a tongue tie that was fixed at 3 months and bad reflux that has improved after 7 months.
Recently he has developed some bottle aversion, so in a desperate attempt to get him to eat, we tried offering him this Philips Avent bottle. No surprise that he did not take to it.
Nothing against the bottle. The glass is a great option to have and much easier to clean than plastic. We’ll probably pass the bottle on to our friend’s baby who prefers the Avent nipple.
One thing though, mine did not come with the silicone sleeve as advertised.
