Great Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product from Stellar Review Panel in exchange for an honest review. I breastfed my first baby for 18 months and she didn’t do much bottle feeding. My second is exclusively bottle fed so I’ve tried a ton of different bottles looking for the right fit for her! She seems to really prefer the wide shape of Avent nipples. She is able to latch effectively and finds a good rhythm of swallows/pauses/breathing. Here are the pros and cons for us:
Pros:
- I love that they’re glass. They feel super sturdy, are easy to clean, and are a great size. They fit into my diaper bag nicely!
- The ml/oz marks on the bottle are very clear and easy to see. This is an issue I’ve had with other bottles. No squinting or having to turn on bright lights when making a bottle in the middle of the night to see the markings on the bottle!
- Minimal parts. You’ve got a bottle, a twist top, and a nipple. Easy to clean and assemble.
Cons:
- The natural response nipples are great in theory but they’re tricky for my baby to figure out. You can see how the nipple is closed when not engaged and it opens wider when pinched/sucked. When the bottle is really full she does great and is able to get milk out. But as she continues and the milk starts to lessen, she isn’t able to take as much in. I don’t think this is a reflection of the product. Maybe more of a user error. I’m not sure if this is a problem of stamina on her end or that she hasn’t yet figured out how the nipple works. The nipple is supposed to mimic breastfeeding and since she isn’t breastfed, this mechanism might not be best for her.
Overall a great product. We are very happy with it and will continue to use it on our bottle-feeding journey!

Great bottle and nipples
on July 25, 2021

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last week, I received the Philips Avent Natural Response Nipple Flow 5, six months and up four pack with the Philips Avent glass bottles from Stellar Test Panel to review. The glass bottles and nipples came well package. There were four glass bottles and two sets of one months and up Natural Response Nipple Flow 5 along with two sets of six months and up nipples. Each set had two nipples that were in a case for easy storage and carrying which is a plus in my book.
I have a nine month old baby who drinks formula. I like that the bottles are well labeled with ounces on one side and milliliter on the other side because I didn't have to struggled to determine how much water I was pouring into the bottle and mixing the formula in it was easy. Even though the bottle is made of glass, I was able to pour hot water in it and hold the bottle without burning my hands. Additionally, the bottle is slender so it made it easy to hold and put into my diaper bag.
I used the six month nipple with the bottle for my baby. My baby did not have any problem with the flow of the nipple. It did not leak or drip when I mixed the formula in the bottle or during the feeding. The nipple is easy to clean. However, the only issue I had with the nipple is removing the cap off of the nipple. I could not remove the cap off unless it was attached to the bottle. Also, the collar of the nipple is heavy compared to other brands. I'm not sure if this is intentional or not but it is worth noting.
Overall, I like the nipple and bottle. I would recommend it to other mothers. However, as for the rating goes, I can only give it a four star due to the struggle I had removing the cap. If it was not for the cap problem, I would definitely give this item a five star.

100 percent baby approved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product as a part of Stellar Product Testing Panel. As a mom who exclusively pumps breastmilk for her baby, I LOVE these bottles. My biggest concern when switching to pumping was that using a bottle wouldn't be anything like breastfeeding to my baby. But he took to the bottle like a champ! I love that it's glass so no worries about BPA and other toxins leaching into the milk when it's being heated. I have one con and that is that he can't hold it himself because it's glass and, therefore, heavy. But he could also be a lazy baby.

Finally a sturdy glass baby bottle
on January 27, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having been on the hunt for a good, sturdy, ergonomic baby bottle, I have finally found success with the Philips AVENT Glass Natural Baby Bottle, with Natural Response Nipple! As you can see in the attached picture my daughter can very easily hold the bottle with one hand, and be in control. Previous glass bottles that we had tried were either way to heavy for her to hold up, or too fragile that I wouldn't let her hold it herself in fear of it dropping and smashing into pieces. We did drop test this bottle from the height of the couch in the picture, and while my daughter was standing, and at both times the bottle didn't even show signs of weakness!
The fact that the Natural Response Nipple is wider than the standard Philips AVENT Natural nipples, it truly allows for my daughter to pace herself comfortably. The wideness of the nipple also makes cleaning and rinsing easier, as I know I am getting all areas of the nipple and residue. The vent in the Natural Response Nipple really does work, you can hear it releasing the air as she is sucking and pausing to swallow. She no longer gets frustrated with the nipple, because it has sucked down into the bottle! Thankfully!
I am so grateful for having received the Philips AVENT Glass Baby Bottle with Natural Response Nipple, as a member of the Stellar Product Testing Panel, as it has allowed my daughter to be confident and comfortable feeding herself from her bottle. It also has allowed this Momma a sigh of relief as I don't need to monitor bottle time, in fear of the bottle breaking. I will be recommending this bottle to everyone that asks what my favourite bottle, due to the easy of cleaning, sturdiness and ergonomic shape!

Love the no drip design for nursing to sleep
on February 6, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this from the Stellar Panel, and they are great bottles! I have always wanted to try glass bottles for my baby because I don't like using and heating plastic bottles even when they don't contain PCBs. I especially love the no-drip nipples because my baby needs milk to sleep, particularly at night. When the nipples don't drip, she will drink more easily and willingly from the bottle as it simulates breastfeeding the most. The milk completely does not drip out even 1 drop when held upside down. It only starts letting out milk when baby suckles!

Detrimental hairline cracks in the bottles
on February 24, 2025

Our baby loves this bottle for feeding and we have purchased 7 of these 8oz glass bottles. But, recently we found hairline cracks on all of the glass bottles, which is kind of making us skeptical to use them for feeding. We are not sure if this is safe for feeding since tiny minute glass particles which are not visible can cause harm to the baby. Philip Avent should have include some sort of an indicator in the design of the bottles so that we can readily understand that the bottle should be replaced.

Leaking is what these bottles do best
on March 5, 2025

These are the most infuriating and frustrating bottles we have ever bought. The design is horrible, if you don't close the top just the right way the bottles will leak out. Even when you think you have tightened the top enough, milk will still leak out. Horrible, especially since these bottles are in the pricier end. Save yourself aggravation and go with a different product.
