Cheap paint, not drop proof.

Bought this speaker after seeing great reviews, and am severely disappointed. The paint scratches off from fingernails after just grabbing the speaker normally. It’s supposed to be drop proof, but the outer cover broke after falling off a kitchen counter. Not worth the money.
I dropped it and it exploded. Also, the color rubs off during normal use… I don’t like Bosr, but I guess I’m a Bose customer now?

I love my JBL speaker. I researched for several months and all signs pointed to the charge 6. I got it and am not disappointed! My husband has decided he needs one too!
Bought this for my husband for his shop so that he stops using mine, lol! I have the jbl5, and got him the jbl6. So great to have music anywhere we go. I've never turned mine up all the way because even out in the field this thing is powerful! My husband is a sound quality snob, and he is very impressed with the quality. The jbl6 has a detachable handle. Probably other fancy new features that we aren't aware of, too,but we like things simple, and these are wonderfully user-friendly.
One of the worst speakers ever. Doesn’t hold a charge more than 2 hours. And that’s after letting it charge to full capacity. My cheap Amazon speaker held a better charge. I just wanted a speaker that put out more sound. It DOES put out more sound but only for 2 hours and then it shuts off. And even when you plug it up it will not cut in u til it is charged again.

Thank you for letting us know about it. The published playtime of our JBL Charge 6 is up to 28 hours. As we turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. To check it, try charging it to 100% and playing music at a low volume with the bass turned off. If it lasts close to the advertised playtime, your battery is in great health. Otherwise, it is losing its capacity. We invite you to contact our customer support for further assistance.
