It takes a while to recognise that the hp cd player has connected to the hp laptop. Sometimes have to unattach and then attach the wire to register it. If you don't use a computer very often which I don't, it's hard to understand how to use it for ripping cds and syncing to phone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Doesn't play DVDs so a waste of money. It may be it needs software but this should be clear in the instructions.

Bought this recently as have just replaced my desktop computer to an HP Pavillion and most if not all desktops now don't have cd/dvd drives so really pleased to see that hp make one. Very pleased with it.
