Purchased a new laptop and with it a HP External USB disc drive , which in true HP style was delivered promptly. The laptop so far is fine , but the external drive just will not run smoothly. To return a faulty item to HP it is necessary to first speak to technical support to get a number for the returns process, good luck with that . So as not to lull you into a bored snooze I'll keep the rest brief , after an hours worth of phone calls desperately seeking tech help from very nice people who could not identify the item from its serial number and being passed three times between the consumer and the business tech teams , who then tell me they don't give tech help for HP accessories ! I ended up speaking to whats called Post Sales where i spoke a very polite and efficient girl who took pity on me after hearing my story and is sending me another drive. Come on HP , make a break from this whole business of keeping customers at a distance after we've spent our money . Getting through to sales to place an order takes a few seconds but after that it can be frustrating trying to find basic help.
I bought this recently to down load music cds on to a new mp3 player as my iPod had died. It does exactly what it says on the tin. Easy to use and has served its purpose for what I need. I bought it whilst it was on offer so definitely value for money.
