Easy to use right out of the box, I chose this surge protector because of opinions based on engineers who know electricity. As I understand it, this inexpensive surge protector will protect some fairly expensive electronics. My fears are now gone that the potential nasty effects of a sudden lightening strike or electrical surge are now greatly lessened.

I love that there are two groups of outlets with differing amounts of space between them (so the space hoggers can be plugged in next to each other, and the normal/small size plugs etc. etc.), so that there are no wasted plugs due to giant plugs that cover the adjacent ones. So far seems very reliable and arrived in good condition.
