Bad quality

Just bought. Package looks fine and not damaged. Open it up and go to put it together and the connection piece is bent and smashed. Don’t know how this passed quality control. Read other reviews and seems to have happened to others. Was iffy on buying this overpriced griddle to begin with and now a know why. Now griddle won’t sit flat. Right on
