new grill with rust?

I received this as a gift from my employer as a 25 year work anniversary gift and it already had some rust on the front panel near the knobs. I found that disappointing since it is brand new. Otherwise it would be perfect and can't wait to cook on it.

Nice little unit

Looks well built , I have not had a portable bbq in a long time 35 year at least and I was looking for something to take to the dragstrip that was not to big and I think this will work.
I also grabbed the adapter for the larger tank so I will not run out of propane.

We have literally been cooking every meal on this griddle. Less mess in the house, keeps the heat down no more scrubbing dirty dishes. Cleanup is a breeze.
