Very good value for price. Moves a lot of air, pretty easy to install. The controls are not perfect??ant to turn off the fan? Turning off the fan also turns off the lights, annoying design. I would prefer if the low fan setting was quieter, but it?? not terrible considering it?? ability to move air.Restaurant-style grease filters are easy to clean and install and look very good. Lights are not as bright as I would like.Within a month of installing, one of the lights would consistently flicker and go out randomly for extended periods. After several months of being frustrated by this, I called Hauslane for support, and they could not have been more helpful. After troubleshooting, they shipped me two new replacement LED assemblies free of charge and the problem appears to be resolved. Bravo!

(PS 10) not so hard to install, but not easy; great air movement

I really like this unit, moves copious amounts of air and looks good doing it! Install was not easy, but managed to do with my just me, my 100lb wife and 12 yr old son. No, not easy, and required an extension for the drill, but we managed it just fine (and I am not a handy-man). Deducted 1 star as the lights are not very bright at all on high. Low is a good level, but not high. not sure I can replace them, but if I can, I'll add another star.

Stylish range hood with self clean function

?I have had this range hood for almost 3 months. I actually compared it with lots of other brands at different prices range. At this price range, this ine has the most functions and very stylish. I saw some of the previous reviews told that the clock wont show normally after some time. Mines is good till now. The sunction power is good just the noise would be loud when you adjust it to the highest level. There are 6 levels that you can choose. Basically I LIKE IT.

Issues:- 1) One of the measurements of the holes (distance between holes) for installation showing on the diagram was wrong. It shows 26" but it's actually 27". Which happened that the old one that I removed was exactly the same with this new range hood. Which then become easier for me to replace the old one.- 2) Other issue that I found was that the clock seems to be a lot faster than normal and its military time (24 hrs). Which I already knew before I ordered this product by reading all the comments on its review page.Problem solved:I did call the tech support about the clock issue. Calvin, Tech Support responded to me right away. He did sent me the new replacement part and the instructions.- I finally got the chance to replaced the part after a week of having the part. After I installed the new part, I already noticed that the clock is set to 12 hrs instead of military time (24 hrs). Which I really wanted- Then, 1 day later, I also noticed that the time is now running normal.* Now, Everything is good and my wife is very happy about it cause of the strong suction plus the clock!

Very nice hood

I like this hood it take care all cooking smell out of my kitchen and no more worry about washing greasy filter. Only I don't like is clock 24hr format and I ask seller for 12hr format and they sent me right the way and it is very easy to install I did in less then 10min. I wish this hood has a smell sensor and it will be tune on automatically.

We used this to replace a Thermador that appears to have been installed by monkeys with a reciprocating saw. The only good part of the previous install was the 8" external vent. Because of the awkward location of the previous vent, on the right side, a few inches above the shelf, and right through a stud, I had to use semi flexible duct to turn 90 degrees almost straight off the adapter and slightly forward, and then continue turning more than 90 degrees to meet the external vent. Hard 90s were too long to fit in the space. Even with the odd ducting this still works very well. The total run is around two feet, which probably helps with the bad turns necessitated by the previous install. The old Thermador was so noisy and unbalanced that you could hear and feel it in most of the house, this hood is maybe a tenth as loud and we feel no vibration.One thing they could have done to male life easier, mark the screw holes on the template. It's hard to do yourself, so I didn't, but I should have. If I did it again I would tape the template to the top, then mark the screw locations from the inside. The screws also don't get hold of a lot of the hood, so I will be refitting one at a time using washers to extend the bearing surface. For the rear screws you either need a very long screwdriver, or better still a really long bit on a power screwdriver. I have ordered a foot long bit to reach up past the fan to the rear mounts. You might also look at using self drilling screws if you need to add more support. I replaced the remains of the shelf above with 3/4" plywood, so four screws is enough for me.
