Just had this Wifi 9000 thermostat installed with new natural gas furnace. Both the thermostat and the app work great. Easy to set up and use. One disappointment, is the outdoor temperature/humidity information. It is inaccurate, doesn't even match the weather network, which makes the feature useless. Needs a better data source or a wireless outdoor sensor.
It disconnects from the internet then after I reconnect it won’t register and I lose all my app controls and outdoor information. I called and sat on hold for 45 mins before I could speak to someone and had this fixed a month ago and now it’s doing the same thing today. Horrible unreliable product!
I keep getting an error saying :Temperature Sensor error - please replace thermostat. This is second unit I have used and both report the same error. The unit appears to run okay, but this unit has very poor error reporting. Fortunately it was a one year warranty. I can't replace it now because without it I would have no heat - error or no error.. I waited on hold for an hour and a half only to be told to reset it. I did and it still failed. I will send this back and and get a Nest instead. What a piece of crap.
Did not work well with my new Heat Pump, Always ran in emergancy heat even if it was only calling for 1 degree. I would set it for 70 and every once in awhile I would come in my shop and it would be 76 and it was still calling for heat in Emergeny Heat mode.. Put my old honeywell back on and it has worked perfect ever since. Just because it is new does not mean it works better then the older units. My heating contractor warned me not to upgrade to the 9000 as he has nothing but problems with them and I now totally agree...
For professional installations. Goes offline sometimes when other devices in house remain connected. Blue default theme display turns white at night often - weekly. Does fine controlling temp.
I hate the feature of setting the time to “warm up to”, I get up at 5:00am the furnace kicks on at 3:30 and is warmed to full temperature by 4:00. I’ve had it for over 30 days hoping the “smart” feature would figure it out, but it hasn’t. I have had to adjust the time one hour after and I’m finding with other leaving and returning home it has my furnace running much more than the 30 year old thermostat it replaced. I would love to have this thermostat have an option of “start time” instead of the “warm up to” time then it would get 5 stars

Easy to install. Easy to use. Apps lets me control from anywhere. I can be in my office upstairs and adjust the thermostat downstairs with my iPhone or just holler out to Alexa to raise or lower the temp. I could be out of town and still control.
