Ok thermostat. Have to press the screen pretty firmly to make changes. Also wish it would go into sleep mode and shut the screen off.

Pros: Nice thermostat. Readable screen. Has the ability to display local weather. Cons: Temperature swing of +/- 1 degree cannot be adjusted. In a Texas Summer, 3 degree swing feels like an uncomfortable eternity. Does not support room, or outside wireless sensors.

Its’s very convenient to use, however, if you have one installed in your bedroom, be aware that the dimmest setting is still too bright for nighttime. I turned the display off and use the app 95% of the time, so this is not an issue for me. I think it would also be convenient if the app gave you access to all the personalization settings that you can access from the thermostat itself. Last thing, it makes a clicking noise when it turns on. It’s not bad, just had to adjust tor the new sound.

This thermostat is great. I love the wifi capability and the ease to use it. One recommendation is to be sure it is setup properly after installation. If you don't input the exact configuration you have, the thermostat will not operate properly and you will be wondering why your house is getting hotter when you want it to cool down.

Power outages and my system

I am giving this 3 stars but I would have given it 5 two days ago.I really do like the unit and that I can control it with my app.
However, we had a power outage yesterday and the whole unit and the thermostat stopped working. We are waiting for our service person to come out and see what happened. This is awful. We don't know what happened to our system that is only about 9 months old.

Schedule is a bit of a joke

First of all I'm coming from a NEST. We replaced our heat pump and this is the thermostat the installer installed. At first I thought it would be fine even though the app seemed dated. But then I enabled the schedule. It does not have independent heat and cool schedules. The schedule is more tailored to an auto mode where it doesn't allow you to put the temperatures within 3 or 4 degrees. A good scheduling function should allow you to set a schedule for heat and a separate schedule for cooling. Not 1 schedule that is used for both.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
