This is a fairly basic wifi-enabled tstat. The biggest two issues are that it has an overly sensitive temperature reading at the tsat (temp rises 2 degrees when anyone walks past it) and it does not have an adjustable setting for when the auxiliary heat turns on. This is a major flaw if you have an electric aux heat strip (paired with a heat pump) as the heat strip will run near constantly leading to MASSIVE electric bills. The install tech called Honeywell and confirmed there is no adjustment, a 1 degree temperature drop will cause the aux heat to turn on! Most tstats have adjustments between 1-5 degrees before aux heat turns on. This limitation is unbelievable on a modern tstat. I would not buy again.
Not as user friendly as I had hoped. Panel too busy with info , at same time difficult to set. Not intuitive. App has minimal info. Was used to other brand that had more options for settings, usage and easy to read panels and app. Works fine for now.
We love the ability to control our thermostat remotely. We have two zones in our home and we can control the upstairs or downstairs without having to walk to the physical thermostat. The system is very reliable.
