I have used Honeywell smart thermostats for a awhile now so when I saw this refurb at a great price I jumped on it. It was used as part of a HVAC install and unfortunately while it appeared to be functioning correctly (no error codes) it wasn't. Regardless of the setting it only activated the heat, even though the set temp was well below ambient. As part of the troubleshooting I swapped it with a known good device from another unit and the swapped in device functioned properly. I then used this device in the other unit and it malfunctioned there as well. Wiring was double checked and was correct. I was dissapointed to say the least.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Installed three of these thermostats in our church and they worked without issues. They were very versatile because of the complexity of our heat and cooling system. It also helps that when someone wants to use our church we can from another location make a schedule change to our system on and off outside our normal worship hours.

This was a replacement for our thermostat that quit working. It is easy to program and works well on my iPhone app. Since it worked well I was going to replace the one in our vacation home but this one only has four program slots as far as I can figure and it won’t let you add any extra time slots. I need one with at least 6 time slots.
