The WiFi 9000 7-Day Programmable Thermostat (2) came with the house I recently purchased. The interface is simple and user friendly. The corresponding app is simple, with the most used features front and center. On most days, that’s all I want from a smart thermostat. However, it doesn’t allow for sophisticated rules, or scheduling, which is sometimes useful. As the name implies, it will assume every week is repeated identically.
My biggest issue with the thermostat is its inability to stay connected to my WiFi network. As the first thing listed in that name, this is the most critical feature. Every other device on the network performs just fine, the issue is strictly with these devices. After being connected for days or weeks, the device will inform me that the password is incorrect. This ought to be corrected with a firmware update, although I haven’t seen one of these since setup.
Im a professional contractor and I knew that Honeywell was the only brand I was putting in my house. I asked my supply house what they had and they recommended the 9000. I like the graphics and full color screen. I wish the app was a bit more refined but it works great.
This thermostat is awesome the Wireless feature functions flawlessly and I love it. The display is colorful and vibrant. I have nothing bad to say I recommend this thermostat to anybody looking for a high-end thermostat that functions flawlessly
This thermostat is very easy to understand and use. The Honeywell App was a snap to download and get up and running, even though it's the first home automation feature I've used. Looking to replace a 1-year-old American Standard thermostat on a second heat pump system with another Honeywell Wi-Fi 9000. The largest complaint on the Am Std thermostat is from wife, who hates the loud clicking noise on system start/stop. With the Wi-Fi 9000, the loudness of the clicks can be adjusted down to barely (I mean barely) noticeable. She'll get her quiet thermostat, I'll get another one that's more intuitive, easier to understand and feature packed than the Am Std product it will replace...
