It functions. The touchscreen is horrible, i have to poke at a button 4 or 5 times before it acknowledges, quite frustrating when trying to enter information. I have given up trying to use the wall unit and only adjust it from the app.

Good looking unit but lacking an important feature

Good looking unit and very user friendly. Unfortunately in heat mode you cannot program a temperature gap when there is a large demand for heat. In the winter I let the house cooldown at night but in the morning, when the demand for heat kicks in, I don't want the furnace to start, it's too expensive. I only want the heat pump to start. On cheaper thermostats you can program them to only have the furnace kick in if the demand is more than a pre-programmed number of degrees above the room temperature. At this price point you should be able to do this with this unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I like the clarity of the thermostat but it’s missing 2 features. I wish there was a way to just press an away button and it switches to the away thermostat. Also, I wish it connected to wifi to the app to give you notices when temp is not at desired setting.

The thermostat is very sensitive to temperature changes. Our new HVAC unit is supposed to run in stages, ie. Run longer at a slower pace to cool evenly and reduce humidity. Instead, the unit generally kicks in to stage two for a short period of time and turns off. Also, the thermostat does not have humidity control.
