Device resets every time I try to set up wifi

I received this product today and during setup, the device reboots when looking for wifi. I think I have a faulty device but the Honeywell folks are saying I need to hire someone to look at it, that cost is higher than the thermostat. I guess I’ll go back to my trusty Nest.

A good thermostat that needs more sensitive screen

This is a good wifi thermostat which is compatible with Alexa and Google home. Also has a good smart phone app that can do all of the thermostat functions remotely. Only complaint is that the touch screen is a little insensitive, have to repeat touches to get it to work some times.

We got this unit as part of replacing our entire A/C system. The thermostat is garbage. The touch pad takes multiple presses to register touch. Its controls are not intuitive. Although I’m tech savvy, it took 45 to set up the phone app. The app is not intuitive either. Talking to the installer, they hated the Honeywell unit also and a few days later they made a trip out to take this unit down and to put back our previous unit, a Sensei, which works fantastic. Honeywell should buy a Sensei to learn what a customer friendly, quality unit looks like.

We purchased this thermostat through the business who services our AC/Heat Pump. I thought the thermostat was a bit tricky to set up. I find myself re-checking the times and temperature selected for reliability. I do have the app on my phone so checking the temperature in my home from Norway for accuracy has been right on.
