Honeywell 9000 thermostat

I have two HVAC units in my house. The larger of the two was replaced two years ago and the installer included a Nest thermostat. The Nest is fairly advanced but not intuitive to use. This year our other HVAC system failed and the installer included the Honeywell 9000 thermostat. It is easy to use and shows everything I need to see regarding heating and cooling. You can set a weekly schedule and can make changes remotely via an app. It isn’t as advanced as the Nest but it is a lot easier for me and my wife to use. I had the installer take out the Nest and put in another Honeywell 9000 and we are very happy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

App NOT as smart as I hoped

Ok, but App is not as smart as I hoped it would be. First issue, is you have tap the screen alot to get it to activate. I have this in my vacation rental. I bought it for the password lock feature. The problem is the app is a mirror of only the basic sceeen. It does not let you put in the password to change from cool to heat. You have to do that at the thermostat. Nest is way more advance. I would not have bought this one if I had got to try it. I am stuck with it now.

It’s just ok. When the power goes out it has a difficult time grabbing the signal again. The app has limited functionality compared to the web page. Otherwise it works well and has all the features you would expect from a quality Honeywell product.

User manual missing valid information

My screen froze. The fix? Take it off the wall. It resets like rebooting a computer. You most likely will get a wait message. Go reset the GIF plug by your furnace. It will come back on. Honeywell, get it together and fix the manual already. Especially when you’re closed and your customers can’t reach you. BTW, my gender etc in your questions below is irrelevant
