I love my new Honeywell thermostat. Now I can take my winter vacation without worrying about my furnace. I've always had some kind of Honeywell product because they're the best.
We don't have regular hours. We don't wake up, go to sleep, leave or return to the house a the same time every day. I don't need a thermistat that "thinks" it's smarter than I am. I went through the process of disabling all the programming for every day, and STILL it resets the set temperature to 78 every day in the late afternoon. I mean ... what is UP with that!? It's annoying, and I'm an electronics engineer with decades of experience designing hardware and firmware for machines way more complicated than this product, and still the reason for this automatic and unwanted behavior eludes me ... so far. I like the appearance and the design of the various screens. I'm still reading the manual to discover why it's changing the set temperature by itself. It should be simple. Disable all the programmings and you're in charge. Well, the 9000 doesn't think so!
Easy to connect, time consuming to register; reason it is very thorough. Take time to complete, well worth it. Would like to be able to have more selections for temperature time settings.
I use the website to access from anywhere...it works great! I just wish there was an app, with no issues, that would require less clicking to get to control panel.
I am delighted with my purchase of a Honeywell Wi-Fi 9000 7-Day Programmable Thermostat. I particularly like being able to adjust the temperature from my computer or cell phone. The thermostat has a setting called "Circulate" which runs the fan randomly 35% of the time which keeps the temperature steady without running the fan 100% of the time. Being able to adjust the color of the screen is a very nice feature. The thermostat can also adjust from heat to cooling automatically which is helpful in a Florida climate! This the the best thermostat I have ever owned!
I love it except I live in rural Texas where the internet can be iffy so sometimes still have to get up to raise or lower temp. But I do love when The internet works.
The 9000 Thermostat has a pretty nice interface and I have been able to easily add it to our wifi and Alexa systems. Once on the wifi system, the display provided an outside temperature and humidity reading. The app is pretty straight forward and shows the information clearly, and allows you to switch bwteen heat and cooling, adjust temperatures, etc. The app adds a five-day forecast to the external temp and humidity. Although a schedule can be set, the thermostat does not have a setting for allowing it to select heating or cooling based upon the temperature you have set it at. You have to manually move between heating or cooling.
