This Honeywell product displayed a message that it might need to be repolaced…twice. The first time was the day after installation. The technician who responded to our call learned (by googling the problem) that Honeywell says this model might send that message due to the humidity. We were told to ignore it. It happened again a few days later. We’ve ignored it and it seems to be working properly. We’ve never had any other thermostat display a failure message. Honeywell should fix this.
Three degrees of separation? We were told that the unit is only accurate within three degrees. This makes it difficult to create a schedule that really hits the mark. When trying to set the thermostat to 70 degrees you have to accept a range between 67 to 73. I had hoped this was wrong but in practice it seems to be accurate. Very disappointing...
I really like the humidity display and humidity control feature, as well as WiFi display and control. The installer had the Smart Response Technology feature turned on and did not tell me. After reading the instruction manual, I finally figured out why my AC cooling was coming on early. Otherwise controls are pretty intuitive to use
First this is mybfirst wifi thermostat and honestly believe everyone should own one now. Wake up in the middle of the night hot, make an adjustmenr from your phone and stay comfy. I have had many surgeries and now i do not have to move from where i am just to change the temps. I love it. The only downfall which doesnt make a big deal once you are setup. The touchscreen can be a little unresponsive in the corners. That definitely needs changed. But once setup it doesnt matter.
