You do need a c wire .

Upgraded from the Google Nest, which is supposed to be a "learning" thermostat... Yeah right. The Nest was horrible. It kept dropping the temp down 3 - 4 degrees, even in the winter. This thermostat, although a little smaller than I expected, works great. With a bright, clear display with outside temp and humidity clearly visible, it is a great thermostat with a good price tag on it. The only thing I wish were different is when you change the temp, you have to press the OK button afterwards. It would be nicer if you could just adjust the temp without having to confirm it.

For some reason it turns on the heat at 6am. I have it set for 8 AM? And the touch screen is not as sensitive as your phone so it can take 2 or 3 tries to get it to take.
Besides that it is better than the original in my 1989 built home.

Nice thermostat but you need to be able to see the equipment status from the mobile and PC app and not just on the thermostat itself. Also, it could use more energy saving features like a Nest thermostat.

Easy to read, and program. Like the idea of changing the wall paper colour to suit surroundings. There is no ability to dim the brightness of the display which is a MAJOR design flaw.
