The Honeywell 9000 is a nice looking wifi thermostat but in my opinion it's much more complicated than it needs to be. The LCD itself is quite nice but it never dims. For us that's fine because it's in a hallway. For others this could be a problem.
My biggest issue is when adjusting the temperature while in Hold mode you always have to "confirm" your change(s) by pressing the Done button. In general it always asks you to confirm inputs. Why? Just let me change it (the phone App requires the same confirmations).
They have a Vacation mode - but it requires you to enter the dates you're going to be gone. Why? Just let me enter an "Away" mode with a Cool temp and a Heat temp. People change their vacation dates all the time but once you leave your house (after putting it into Vacation mode) the dates can't be modifed from the App.
The theromostat does everything I need it to but they've made the interface more complicated than it should be. The phone App is okay and generally lets you do normal day changes (but will not let you enter vacation mode). They should really spend some time looking at the Lennox thermostat and associated Phone App - much cleaner, simpler to use and yet has more functionality.
Same part number, DIFFERENT BASE. Seriously when you change something the part number SHOULD change. We purchased it to replace an existing unit we though was faulty and oh my, had to swap out the whole thing, base and all. Love the units but PLEASE change the numbers a little.
