I have always used Honeywell thermostats and have not been disappointed. We recently purchased a new house that had a Nest thermostat, from the first day I fought with it just trying to get an auto setting; basically set the temp I want and let it maintain it (either heat or AC) and it was impossible to set up. I replaced it with this one and it has been wonderful, just put it in auto mode and set the temp; nice bonus is that is also WiFi so I can check it from anywhere on my phone. The display is bright, clear and crisp; very easy to read no matter the lighting. I would highly recommend Honeywell to anyone, the stuff just works.
My new Honeywell wi-fi 9000 is so easy to operate. I control it from my iPad and my phone. It is very easy to program. I love that it gives me both temperatures inside and out to include the humidity and weather forecast.
I was using this as a replacement/upgrade to another Honeywell thermostat. With some challenges to utilize the previous holes, I was able to get everything to fit and level. This was a second home install. Both homes are accessed on the app. Setup was straight forward.
I am a big fan of this Thermostat. My daughter and son-in-law have had these in their past two houses, and I just installed mine recently. It is so convenient to be able to make temperature, fan, and system changes remotely. You have a Satisfied Customer for life.
App needs to be able to do all that website does like alert settings.
App fails to report LIVE changes when temp changes or unit off/on; have to stop/start app to get changes of current conditions 70% of time. This is frustrating.
The app could have a spinning wheel showing unit is on and have larger text when displaying "cool is on" for example.
