Already stopped working 25 days after installation. Got the "Thermostat Sensor Error" message and another message that the whole thing will have to be replaced. Will be a hassle to call our HVAC contractor out to fix it, re-programming the heating and cooling schedules, then re-programming the connection to the internet. Will be a long process to get the replacement thermostat to 100%. Very disappointing on a brand new product.
I have bought and returned 3 of these units due to failure. The keep displaying sensor error messages saying that the sensor is defective and needs to be replaced.
Great replacement of my 12 year old thermostat that was going out. Love the easy set up and wifi functionality to maintain settings. The ONLY thing missing is an "auto" temperature setting, which is pretty important in Texas...where we need it to auto set to heat at night, but auto set mid-morning to cool when it begins to warm up. Not sure why this is not a standard setting, and realizing I need to remember to change the settings on my phone every day now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The thermostat is located in our bedroom, and it's specifically designed so that the screen turns bright white between 2am and 3am. It's like a 40watt bulb is suddenly turned on in the bedroom! UNACCEPTABLE DESIGN FLAW. Get a higher quality screen!

We have had the thermostat for several years now and it continues to work well. Like that it can be powered by C wire. Only real complaint is that there are only 4 schedule settings a day. Will likely upgrade to one that can handle 6+ different changes Since I work out of a home office I like to have a mid morning and mid afternoon adjustment as well. Would love it if the device would update with that capability added.
The touch screen is not responding all the time, have to actually “ nock” on it to make changes, replaced both thermostats already, still same problem, made mistake buying them, won’t recommend them for anyone. Had different brand on my privies house and worked excellent.
You need a wire called common to power the unit. Older homes like ours did no have this wire so it meant pulling new cabling. Most WiFi controllers require this wire, not just Honeywell.
After registering my Honeywell thermostat with my personal email address I am receiving unsolicited emails from third parties such as an email that led me to this Bazaarvoice website. I have never authorized Honeywell to be selling my personal information to third parties.
