We purchased for a vacation rental property. I am pretty tech savvy, and this was a challenge to synchronize with my phone. I finally had it figured out, and once we arrived back at home (159 miles away), I no longer had access via my phone. Which was the reason it was purchased in the first place. Also, the thermostat displayed a “sensor failure” message.

This is a replacement for the Smart Color Thermostat. The display is much more legible as it can be set for a solid color background rather than the Smart Color's fixed stripe pattern. Also, the humidity readings can be more accurate as there is a humidity calibration setting in the setup menu. My Smart Color thermostat was off by 12% and could not be adjusted. This thermostat was initially low by 7% but after adjusting the calibration it tracks other humidistats in the house.

So far, so good. Since were wintering in Florida, and the furnace is very old, we were nervous to be out of town during winter and have a mishap with burst pipes and such. So my husband and son installed the thermostat without too much difficulty. We both loaded the App and are able to monitor and change the temperature from our location. I find the App to not be entirely user friendly but maybe will get used to it over time. All in all, very happy with the product and would recommend.
