this unit is set at 21degrees and we have no way to re-set it to another temperature unless we use permanent hold. When we take it off permanent hold, it runs and stops, runs and stops all day/ night long. How does one re-set the temperature on this thing to make this more efficient and comfortable?

Hi, if you have the thermostats schedule enabled you can either set a temporary hold where it will hold the changed setting until the next scheduled period or set a permanent hold that will hold the setting indefinitely. You can also disable the schedule where the unit will only run to what you have it set at, please see below on how to disable the schedule. 1. Touch Menu. The thermostat displays a list of options. 2. Select Preferences then select Advanced Preferences. 3. Scheduling options will appear, select non programable. 4. Select Done to save.
Unfortunately, I am not enjoying the thermostat. Once it’s programmed and you changed it manually, it learns it and doesn’t stay to its original programming.

Hi, we're sorry to hear you're having trouble with your unit. When the schedule is in place and you make a setpoint adjustment the unit should go in to a temporary hold until the next scheduled period unless you set a permeant hold. Unit does not have an automatic changeover feature from heat to cool or cool to heat. Makes you a slave to the unit.

Hi, this model is equipped with the Auto changeover feature, please see the following direction. 1. Select Settings. 2. Select Preferences. 3. Advanced Preferences 4. Press next to Heating and Cooling system changeover setting 5. Tap Automatic. 6. Select Done to save.
I have not been able to connect using the app and Resideo support has not resolved the issue. It has been about a month since I first reported the problem.
