We had two units installed. The screens are physically old school touch screens, beyond that it is a nice unit and does everything I expected. We have both on schedules, I access them from my phone (at home or away) from my laptop and google home.

Only had the new system for a couple of weeks, but so far we love the new thermostat! Easy to program and the house has been very comfortable.

I am an HVAC/R technician. I was extremely unimpressed with the lack of customization as far as setup with this thermostat. The 8000 allows you many more options in the setup menu. This stat is also not capable of adding a remote sensor.

I have 2 yrs HVAC training and was the easiest install for thermostat that I have ever done. Set up with walk through screen was so easy. The phone access is the greatest and simplest to use. Wish I could rate it higher!

The screen is too bright for use in a bedroom even when dimmed. If you turn off the screen you can't see the temperature without touching the screen and waiting for it to turn on; there should be a proximity sensor like other brands or auto dimming

When auto mode is on, showing both heat and cool settings, the display is too small to read. Living in Dallas and coming into the spring, some days the AC is needed and the next day we need the heater. So I have to switch modes back and forth.
