This thermostat does have an Auto change over feature, meaning it can switch from cooling to heating (or vice versa) as needed. You need to enable this feature thru the installer set up menu.

Love this thermostat! This is the only programmable thermostat I could find that I can add a “holiday” schedule to turn on one time per month which was exactly what I was looking for a building that has very limited occupancy times.
