Have an electric furnace and the 9000 was short cycling the unit. Replaced it with another 9000 and the same thing. Would short cycle 3 to 4 times in a row. Had a mechanic check out the whole furnace till we decided it was the stat. Changed iut the 9000 to a diffrent stat and all is working fine. I have the 9000 on my gas furnace with no issues. But with electric i would advise a different brand.
The thermostat works but the company needs to get into the 21st Century because it is not intuitive as the Nest or Ecobee thermostats. An example, in order to set the fan to turn on you have to remember to turn off another setting. I have an air scrubber which requires that the fan be on during the day. Again, the thermostat works but I can't work harder than the system because it requires that I change the setting daily. I uninstalled the thermostat and added my Nest, which just works.
Nice to have a thermostat that doesn’t try to be smarter than me. We had a nest thermostat but it was in a vacation home. Loved that we could change the temp remotely but it was always changing it because we weren’t there. This one follows the program I set only yet we can still change it remotely. Exactly what we wanted.
