Inside Temperature is Wrong!

I just received this thermostat this afternoon and had it installed I the master bedroom. All seems to be working except it has been reading the inside room temp as 78 degrees (for hours) which matches the set temp! The room reads 74 degrees with an accurate manual thermostat! The greatroom reads 75 degrees. The two rooms have always been at least a degree apart. What is wrong with this unit?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, could use an easy fix

I've had this for 2 years and my only issue with it is the programming for heat and cool. I have different time requirements between the two. When I switch from heat to cool, cool to heat I have to adjust all the times for wake, leave, return and sleep. Other manufacturers have separate settings. Other than that I would give it 5 stars.

Beware for Hot Water Boiler Systems!

Yes, I know Honeywell states this model will work with Hot Water Boiler Systems (I called Customer Service and double checked) and we utilized the Hot Water specific program on the unit.
However...
In 2017, we had a HVAC professional install a Honeywell RTH9585 to work with our Weil McClain Boiler system. For 2 years, we were cold all the time and blamed the old Weil McClain. We ended up replacing (2019) the Weil McClain with a new Velocity Aruba Boiler. We were still cold...
Turns out it was NOT the boiler!!!! It was the Honeywell RTH9585. The professional HVAC person diagnosed the problem and installed a non-wifi Honeywell Thermostat that he had on his service vehicle to get us through.
December 2020, we decided to upgrade to the Honeywell 9000. It's been installed for 2 days and we are again COLD!!! Re installed the non-wifi Honeywell Thermostat and we are warm again.
In our experience, after 2 Honeywell WIFI Thermostats-- they are absolutely NOT properly programmed to work with Hot Water Boiler Systems!!!
The thermostat works fine but I previously had a Nest thermostat which was easier to program and more importantly The light from the Nest dims for better sleeping. You can program this thermostat to change the colors but you can not dim the light coming from it. That is fine for a hallway but is awful in a bedroom. At night our bedroom has a glow the entire night. I have read through the directions, changed the color in the thermostat to black with light writing, but nothing seems to help.
We replaced the older, non-wifi Honeywell thermostats with this in our Air BNB Home. These give me a great peace of mind that I can watch the house and ensure that there is heat in the winter, and control when no one is there.

Touchscreen problem

Love the functionality of the thermostat love the different colors and it works very well. Big problem I have with this thermostat is that the touch by my finger on the different options is very very poor I have a time getting it to move or change or do anything I finally got a stylus pen that helps a lot but it still doesn’t work like it should. Don’t know why the touch screen is so not sensitive. Would love somebody to contact me about this issue. It’s almost impossible to get into your customer service help.
i had the thermostat installed by a professional. but not all was correct in how he did it. i talked to one of your representatives and he walked me through it and we were able to correct the problem
Works great! Only thing they need to improve is the auto scheduling. If I have the thermostat AC COOL on at night, if its set scheduled to HEAT in the morning, it would not turn to HEAT to following the schedule. It would just stay in COOL until you manually switch on the SYSTEM.
